There's actually four teams at 4-2 now. There are a bunch of scenarios for every team to get the AQ (whether it's with the head to head or the old which team has been out of the playoffs the longest deal), but for St. John's, it seems like if they win the last two, and have Concordia lose one of its last two (they play Carleton and the Gusties), the Johnnies would get the automatic.

That's a lot of scenarios, and a lot of parentheses for one sentence.

Concordia still controls their own destiny if they win the last two against Carleton and Gustavus, because if they finish tied with the Johnnies they'd have the tiebreaker. Carleton and the Gusties could tie with two losses, leaving Gustavus with the AQ because of head-to-head.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Don't the Johnnies need both the Gusties and Cobbs to lose 1 more due to the rule about the longest time since being to playoffs?  I could see Gustavus losing at St. Olaf, then beating the Cobbs at home.  in any other year, the J's would be feeling pretty good with only the auggies and carls left on the schedule.

If it's just the Johnnies and Gusties tied, it goes to the head-to-head, I believe. I think the longest time from the playoff rule is only for three-way or more ties. So if the Gusties and Johnnies both win the last two, they'd be tied at 6-2 and the Johnnies would get it. Someone can correct me on that though if it's wrong.

you are correct. just checked the manual.  If the Johnnies win their last two, Concordia would have to beat Carleton and Gustavus to keep the J's from getting the AQ.

cobbernation

Concordia needs to take care of the ball.  5 turnovers against a the Oles, at home is unexcusable!  Not to mention the cobbers put the ball on the ground 5 times.  Can't come back to win a game playing like that.  Looks like the bandwagon is on the Johnnies, everybody hop on it's moving fast!

Yes.  Thank you STO!  The Cobbers still could win out but GAC is going to be tough at home, especially since this is their coach's last year and the last game coached at GAC with the playoffs on the line to boot.

Rugman

Cobbers control their destiny.  Bandwagon still with the Cobbers.  Don't confuse the bandwagon.  Bandwagon needs to stay strong and focused.

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

We may want to keep an eye on the regional rankings to see if that Johnnie Magic (tm) is working for the team there as well.  So what happened to those in the region?

Willamette - off week
Occidental - nail biting win against Cal Lutheran
Monmouth - triple stomped Illinois College
Stevens Point - nail biting win against Oshkosh
WhiteWater - stomped Eau Claire
Cal Lutheran - lost to Oxy
Redlands - stomped Pamona
Northwestern - stomped Crown
CC - lost to STO

So, it looks like, if we're lucky, we're up to 8th spot with two #2's in front of the team.  Time for some Stephens Point and Redlands bandwagoneering if we know what is good for us.
