This is the quietest I've seen this thread in...well it's actually the quietest I've EVER seen it.  :-\

Since it's so damn quiet around here, I thought this joke was appropriate:

An Englishman, a Scotsman, and an Irishman are all to give speeches to the Deaf Society. All are keen to make an impression on their audience.

The Englishman goes first and to the surprise of his colleagues starts by rubbing first his chest and then his groin. When he finishes the Scotsman and Irishman ask him what he was doing.

"Well" he explained" By rubbing my chest I indicated breasts and thus Ladies and by rubbing my groin I indicated balls and thus Gentlemen. So my speech started: Ladies and Gentlemen".

On his way up to the podium the Scotsman thought to himself I'll go one better than that English bastard and started his speech by making an antler symbol with his fingers above his head before also rubbing his chest and his groin.

When he finished his colleagues asked what he was doing. "Well" he explained" By imitating antlers and then rubbing my chest and groin I was starting my speech by saying: Deer Ladies and Gentlemen".

On his way up to the podium the Irishman thought to himself I'll go one further than those mainland bastards and started his speech by making an antler symbol above his head, rubbing his chest, and then his groin, and then masturbating furiously.

When he finished his colleagues asked him what he was doing. "Well" he explained," by imitating antlers, rubbing my chest and then my groin and then masturbating I was starting my speech by saying: Deer Ladies and Gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure......."

TDT, wherever you are....Greg Morse got some PT Saturday at USDT. 5/15 with one int.

Johnnie Red

We will be having the Stiftungsfestivities tailgate party this Saturday when Auggie Tech comes to Collegeville. Auggie fans, you are more than welcome to join us. We are located in the parking lot just above the scoreboard end of the field. We usually get going around 10:00 a.m., though a few of us are there much earlier.

Bring a culinary delight to share if you like. Since we are playing Auggie Tech, hip hop/rap music is more than welcome. ;)

Reason for lack of banter...

Carleton/Concordia/Gustavus supporter:  Our team is going to win the Miac this year!

Johnnie fan:  No you won't.  The johnnies are superior to all other beings.  We are the best.

Johnnie fan #2:  Yeah!  You all suck.  We are really good.  I sat the bench with 150 kids back in '96.  We were so good.

Johnnie fan C:  You guys are so right.  We have johnnie Magic!  www.gojohnniefootballgagliardi.com

Just saved everyone a bunch of time.  If we have learned anything this season it would be dumb to even try to predict a conference winner right now.  Lot of ball left to be played.  All 4 teams have a legit shot.

Umm...

Last I checked, most Johnnie fans were lamenting how disappointed we are in the Jays this year.  We aren't at all bragging about the success of SJU, as most of us quite frankly are frustrated.  Keeping it in perspective, whereas we are contemplating the quickest way to ease the pain of the worst SJU football season in a decade, GAC and Carleton are enjoying the ride.  It is nice to have that on our side-- but our real worry is that this "temporary slump" for SJU could turn into the "great depression", and we could fall into {gasp} Tommie territory...

By the way, there is at least one scenario that there could be a six-way tie for the MIAC crown-- with UST taking the automatic bid.  Take a look at johnniefootball.com today to find out more.

As much as a lot of us are enjoying the Johnnies being down this year.  I don't think anyone really believes that they will fall into tommie territory.

Can't remember if this was posted before but it was always a favorite of mine and I received it again this morning:

The World's Shortest Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?' The girl said, 'NO!' And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf a lot and drank beer and scotch and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END
Everyday is payday in paradise.

I am glad we have your confidence-- even if we lack it ourselves!

I do appreciate your humor from your post, though-- even if I answered its literal version.
