A bit of rye with alot of Kentucky Blue Grass thrown in for effect.....

...and the amazing thing about this stuff is you can play 36 holes on it, then you can take some home and get stoned out of the bejesus with it.

Cannonball!

Bennie:  I thought esq had answered the question pretty well, but as long as you're questioning my motives I might as well point out that I had no problem with  Wayzata 38 - Tech 0.  Do we have any Tech grads on here?  I thought duff maybe was?  there sure were some unhappy tiger fans posting comments on the Times recap of the game.  especially regarding a certain hit a certain linebacker I know pretty well put on a mr. kaczor.

I think you'll have to avoid a career in B movies.  It would be too far out of character...

What is the series with SCSU at?  The Johnnies probably deserve the mythical stearns title based on the last 10 and a better winning percentage in most every season.

The cobbs definitely deserve the moorhead crown after their recent dominance forced the dragons to stop playing that game.

Ha! Even when trying to concede a point to SJU you have to hedge the statement, but at least you can award a non-mythical crown to CC.

Bennie has you pegged.

i was repeating esq's use of the word "mythical"   i'm behind sju anytime they play scsu.

OxyBob is back at the SCIAC boards.  Some addictions are hard to break.

(AO, not wanting to be unfairly harsh (although I can't deny that I am harsh), I'll take that bit back.)

Nope, I'm a Sartell boy.  But my dad was a Tiger ;)  I hold no love for Tech.

If they insist on calling Stanton a defensive end in their new scheme, wouldn't it technically be a 4-3 that they primarily ran on Saturday?  It looked like #13 spent about an equal amount of time in coverage and in the backfield--it was almost a 3-3-5 stack with an extra strong safety in the game.  I guess the name doesn't matter so much as the results and I think they'll have a hard time getting Stanton off the field at this point.

SJU uses the term "plus" to describe that position, as in "Stanton is the plus guy."  It's kind of a SS/LB/DE hybrid.

I thought Kotsmith was the  Plus. Is this new set-up playing two "Plus guys"?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I stand corrected.  Kotsmith is the plus.  Stanton's position is similar.  I didn't see the game and just figured that Stanton was playing the plus.

SJU owns the series 37-18-1, with a delta of 453 points in favor of the Johnnies.   Considering that SCSU has scored all of 493 points in the series, that demonstrates a long history of SJU success.  But that isn't news to any of us.

SCSU dropped the series in 1983 for the same reason Moorhead State dropped the series with Concordia-- new conference situations.  In MSU's case, it was the NSIC, while SCSU had new NCC regulations back in the day.  Before SCSU joined the NSIC there was talk about trying to get the Johnnies back on the Huskies' schedule, but there was no upside for the Johnnies to schedule such a game.  So it likely won't happen for some time now.

This is an easy game of Where's Waldo....find the white coat (Veek/LWD).  President is located in the first row over the blaze orange hat on the sidelines, white coat for LWD and TC next to him.

Crowd didn't look like the 4000+ announced.

If you scan over to the left and up you can see the knees of Carbo's brother and dad and of course I was seated in the row just behind them.

RT;  You question the attendance figures?  I think TS was just making up for the several thousand that went unaccounted for during the greatest football game ever to take place in Collegeville.  Now we know where they went.

I've got a nice picture up of those who were actually there on Saturday at www.JohnnieFootball.com
