It would not be equitable to have Oxy play Willamette first round.   I can relate as to why that would bother those teams.  The IIAC champ, like the MIAC champ, will be a low seed, IMHO.  I think Wartburg goes out West, along with Point.  The $$ from 12,000 fans will matter too much to the NC$$ so I think SJU gets a home playoff game despite its lower seeding.  I am grateful for the NC$$ greed in this particular instance.   I think Aurora Goes to Collegeville and I think Monmouth goes to UW-WW.  One wrench that could be thrown in is North Central being cast in the West.  I don't think that will happen but it may be that  the committee would not want the #1 and #2 teams in the same region.

Cortland St. (and Muhlenberg) solved that problem by losing today.  MUC will almost certainly be looking East for victims again.

Congrats, Johnnies, on another conference championship.  What a roller coaster of a season.  It will be interesting to see the pairings tomorrow.

Congrats to Carleton on their great season.

Go Johnnies!!
Go Johnnies!!!

Congrats to the Johnnies, good luck in the playoffs!!
Congrats to the Knights on a great year.

I can't believe the end of the game, going to have to drink that one off tonight.  I totally thought we had that one.

A great game despite the loss, the players left everything on the field.  Nice to see that many people at a football game in Northfield, things are definately looking up for the future for the knights.

If the Johnnies get a home game next weekend, 12, 000 fans?  Not gonna happen.  The Johnnies generally draw in the neighborhood of 2500-3000 fans for home playoff games.   Everyone has to pay admission; probably around $5-7 for students, $8-10 for everyone else.  And weather isn't much of a factor.  I remember it was unseasonably warm for the 2001 game against St. Norberts and there was barely 3000 fans.  There are probably other factors that affect playoff attendance as well.
Sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

When are the playoff pairings announced?

On ESPNews, 3:00 to 3:20, I assume Eastern Time.  According to the front page it's only a 5 minute segment though.

Wow! Didn't catch any MIAC action today, but it looks like I missed some good ones.

As much as I dislike the Johnnies — and it's very well documented — rooting for SJU as an underdog in the postseason is a little easier after seeing them battle for literally every single win this season. While the result was essentially the same as usual, I can't help but think the tight race was good for the league as a whole.

I'll be interested to see what SJU is capable of in the postseason. For what it's worth, I've got to think the defense can carry the load for one win but the offense has to produce just a little and avoid mistakes for anything more.

Congrats to all on a fun year!
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

PC and the boys have projected SJU at WW. May be seeing some of you next Saturday.

To all the Johnnie players and such, if you happen to read this board;

Thank you for a great effort and a thrilling championship.  Gritting it out from beginning to end this year was not easy and it's an effort that every Johnnie supporter can be proud of, not to mention yourselves.  I am particularly impressed by the season you have played, doing it tough like you have.

Good on you Johnnies!  And if you end up playing the Warhawks in Whitewater again this year as the D3 crew predict, then do it tough yet one more time and put the Warhawks into an early off season this year.  Do your best to get back the season ending defeats we have suffered at their hands these last two years.

Go Johnnies!

Congratulations to the Johnnie Football team - Conference Champions!

Congratulations also to Kurt Ramler and his CC Knights for taking the Johnnies down to the wire.

Feels great once again to know that SJU is atop the MIAC!  MIAC Comish Dan McCane was even in attendance and had a nice little pow wow with JohnnieFootball.com comish TDT!

Tremendous performace from both sides of the ball today for SJU with smooth as silk Joe Boyle navigating the last 50 seconds of the game for a touchdown.  From my vantage point in the south endzone all I could see was Jeff Schnobrich sprinting north down the east sideline with a perfectly thrown pass falling into his hands.

Redzone offensive performance needs to crank it up a notch while the defense needs to continue to hold steady.

Beautiful day in Northfield with plenty of sun and mid 30's temps.

For future consideration Carleton allows tailgating.... we coulda pulled right up to the stadium and tapped a keg.

Never seen ROR as happy as he was today following the game winning touchdown!

Go Johnnies!!!   8)

I have to agree as much as I felt all season that #9 was a lot of the problem with the passing game, on Saturday, he did it all.  The crow tastes ok knowing the Johnnies have more games to play.  I am going to bitch about the play calling in the first half, we should have had a minumum of 17 points going into the break.  The goal line stop is always exciting.  Punting was terrible, I would reccommend practicing outside from this point forward.  If the Johnnies go to Wisconsin does Fins get a non resident license just so he can listen in the deer stand?  Seems to bring good luck.  The knights look to be the real deal, nice football team.  Good luck in the future.

Quote from the Daily Dose this morning:

"With that, we have no choice but to unveil an odd bracket. A bracket with 11, yes 11, South teams. Though just six East teams, so it almost balances.

We'll all find out during the selection show just after 3 p.m. ET what the NCAA thinks. But a process that was fairly easy last week had some new wrinkles added — losses. And more losses."

Plenty of fudge room here Johnnie fans.... no offense Flash, you know I'd enjoy joining you for some Grovey Brew however the lengthy drive to SE 'scony has seen enough of my tread already.

Lots of guesswork in this year's "projected" field.

Assuming they are right on the teams getting in I can't see SJU going to UW-W. Why would the Pool C get a home game and the Pool A UW-SP have to go on the road ??
