If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I just got the official press release from the WW AD.

WHITEWATER – The visitor bleachers in Perkins Stadium will not be used on Saturday, November 22 and have prompted adjustments in seating for the game between UW-Whitewater and Saint John's University of Collegeville, MN in the first-round of the NCAA Division III football play-offs.
The entire section behind the visiting team will be closed off to the public due to safety concerns. The main grandstand bleachers will be divided equally to accommodate all spectators and fans. UW-Whitewater Athletics has assured the National Collegiate Athletic Association and Saint John's Athletics Department that seating will be made available for at least 5,000 Johnnie fans. The capacity in the main grandstand is 10,000.
Home team fans will be seated in Sections AB, BC, and CD. Visiting team fans will be seated in Sections DE, EF, and FG. There will be no seating or access to the east side bleachers or areas behind the visiting team.
"We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause both UW-Whitewater and St. John's fans, but the safety of everyone is our No. 1 concern," Athletic Director Paul Plinske said. "Added security will be utilized so that we can ensure a safe and fair environment is provided to all in attendance."

By the way. The AD said there would be a diagram made up for you guys to follow. He must think you guys are too dumb to figure out what the north half of the stadium is. I'm going to email him back, and tell him maybe they should paint red footprints for you guys to follow. Pink ones for TDT.

Flash, could you draw yourself into the picture so that we know the section to stay away from. BTW, can you bring your beverage into the stadium?

janesvilleflash

I sit in the top middle red section by the right hand exit. No beverages. Some times, if I'm feeling wild, I sit in the top right red section, by the left hand exit.

Interesting news from the UK Sun....

"Hitler HAD only got one ball"

AN extraordinary account from a German army medic has finally confirmed what the world long suspected: Hitler only had one ball.

...

The war tyrant’s medical condition has been mocked for years in a British song.

The lyrics are: “Hitler has only got one ball, the other is in the Albert Hall. His mother, the dirty b****r, cut it off when he was small."

(The censored word, in case you wonder and have trouble trying to think of it, is an offensive term in the British Empire and rhymes with bugger.  Oops.  That was it.  Apologies to all you Pommy gits.)

EDIT: And this pic of Hitler protecting his one remaining goolie accompanies the article...

MVP looks to be kind of a toss up...maybe Winford?...Carletons  QB?

I'm thinking either Winford...even though his first half of the season was significantly better than his second half...OR...Drew Ziller from Carleton. The guy had a hell of a season. D3 team of the week 3 times.

Winford may be the best athlete...

But the MVP has to go to Henfling (Carleton QB), simply for the fact that Frank was hurt, which showed that Henfling was far from dependent on his stud WR.  His stats lead the conference, and as the Johnnie faithful can attest to, he made plays when they counted most.  Frank is a talent Carleton will miss, but Henfling had 5 4th quarter come backs.

- Drove for the conference championship in the 4th (Frank TD) can't blame them for the D not getting a stop.
- Did the same in the GAC game, can't blame him for two missed extra points.
- Overcame a 10 point 4th quarter deficit against St.Thomas only to lose on a Tommie TD on the last play of the game.
-  Hamline win was a 4th quarter comeback
- Bethel win was a 4th quarter comeback.

All 3 of Carleton's losses, Henfling put the team ahead in the 4th and in a position to win.
