As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

"They have a different coach than they did the last time we played them," said St. John's coach John Gagliardi, whose team is making its 10th postseason appearance in the past 11 seasons.

"We have the same coach. So that gives them a bit of an advantage. They have a better idea of what to expect from us."

Translation.....I hope they think we won't do anything different.

+K to everyone as we reach the mid-way point of playoff week.
Flash-looks like we might have to worry about the beer freezing again, like last year. Keep the car running, so the heater can thaw the beer. :)

Not to worry. I have personaly taken charge of the weather. By 10:13 am, we can set the beer out on the lot and it will hold a tooth cracking temp of 33 1\2 degrees. (9:21 if the sun is out)

We sang a Rugby song many moons ago about Hitler and his one ball. Since it was so many moons ago, I can't quite remember exactly, but I will engage my feeble mind and see if I can clear the cobwebs, and come up with it. If anyone else is famliar, feel free to preempt.

I will ask Mrs. Duff.  She was a rugger.

Edit:  She doesn't know that song.

Today's research:

There has long been suspicion that Hitler only had one testicle and the topic has been the topic of many British songs, a common example being:

"Hitler has only got one ball,
The other is on the kitchen wall,
His mother, the dirty bugger,
Chopped it off when he was small. "

Or the widely known Australian version:

"Hitler, he only has one ball,
Goering has two but they are small,
Himmler is very similar,
But poor Goebbels has no balls at all."

Also, from wikipedia:

Land of soap and water:
        Hitler's having a bath;
        Churchill's looking through the keyhole,
        Having a jolly good laugh,
        Be...e...cause ...
Hitler - has only got one ball.
Goering - has got no balls at all.
        Goebbels - screws little gerbils
Because his peeny - is weeny - and small.
Hitler - has only got one ball.
Th' other - is in the Albert Hall,
Because his mother, the silly bugger,
Had it bronzed when - her baby - was small.
When he - gives us the other, we
Shall toss - them in the deep blue sea.
The fishes - will grab their dishes
And have scallops - and bollocks - for tea.
Hitler - will lose his one last ball,
Goering - will lack the where-with-all,
Himmler - will soon be sim'lar,
And then Goebbels - have noebbels - at all
        (... all all all all).

Hitler has already come up more on these football boards than I think he has on the political boards.  What's up with that?

BTW, I once had a class with a woman whose maiden name was Hitler and when she got married she left it in her extended name.  e.g.  Jane Hitler-Doe.  Now that takes balls. :D

Or possibly only one.

Pop quiz, Johnnie football fans:  Who is the best player on the 2008 Johnnies?

I guess I'd say Wimmer, almost by default, but no one really springs to mind.  I don't even know who else would be in the discussion--Bobby Klint?  Ben Vanderheyden?   Jeff Schnobrich?  Nick Gunderson, in 3 and a half quarters of play?

It's not strange to not be able to pick the best Johnnie in a given year, but that's typically because you have a dozen all-conference players to choose from...

I'm going with # 10  The Dominator:    Dominic Haik.    He does it all.      But TC your point is well taken.    MVP is any number of guys.    Probably the entire defense.

Wimmer. He's the best, and he makes everyone around him better.
