Better Dead then Red

Mac Daddy

Illinois College Sophomore Point Guard Dillon Binkley finished 3rd at the NCAA Division III Indoor Nationals in the High Jump at 6'8 3/4" on Saturday.  Congratulations to Dillon on going from basketball season straight to track.  Dillon only participated in two meets before nationals.  What a great accomplishment! ;D

That's a Monmouth-like accomplishment, Mac Daddy.  Congrats to the lad!

The NRO grapevine usually has about a 7-10 day turnaround in the off season but I've recently chummed the waters regarding a transfer rumor I stumbled upon recently. Should hear something in a couple days.

Would that be a transfer in  :-X or a transfer out  :'(

I have heard that BC is working very hard on one of the bigs from Beloit Memorial who will be playing at state this Thursday.

The Roop

Actually it might be two transfers in, although one would merely be re-joining the team after leaving at semester.

I've heard they are interested in as many as three at Beloit Memorial and all appear to be well qualified for the admissions office.

Beware a book-learnin' UW-Beloit in 2009-2010.    :)

That might cause confusion as to conference affiliation. Let's go with Beloit St. for now.

And just to calm all rumors or consideration to the contrary, the NCAA handbook specifically allows for certain residents of Weston WI to perform certain tasks, without penalty, that would be considered tampering for alumni or employees of other NCAA institutions.   I heard the provision was put in as an earmark in the recent stimulus bill by a rogue Beloit fan who also serves in the House of Representatives.   :o

Hmmmmmm. The grapevine replied in a hurry this time. So far the report is inconclusive but hasn't exactly dis-proven anything either. Could be an interesting next few months.

Heavy on the Wheaton and Wash U players to no surprise....

Read the fine print on the selections.

LU's Kroeger got selected first team longest winning streak beard and Chris Page got first team for his fashionable T-shirt collection.  Doug Kadison is pissed and promises to have hair like Artis Gilmore by graduation.  They all are recovering from carpal tunnel from shooting so many free throws in the MWC final at Grinnell.  Woosh.   ;)
