PC, The surprise this season was not that JoJo worked the refs so hard, but that the refs took as much of it as they did. Does the conference keep any stats on Coaches "T"s? That might be fun to see.

BTW why would ANYONE want to trade a Mac for a PC?

That's a little John Tharp humor as some posters in the past have suggested a "PC" resemblance to the actor in the Mac commercials. Quite a stretch if you as me but it got some play on occasion.

On an NCAA Tournament note, I'm not particularly optimistic about a MWC team getting past the first round. St. Norbert could, in theory, host a Thursday night game but it would likely be against the WIAC Pool C. Not exactly a gimmie. Probably better to go on the road and hope they get the seedings wrong; which happens a lot.

Roop, any upset predictions in the MWC tourney?

Ripon's season is textbook as to how make the MWC tourney. Beat everybody you should beat at home and minimize damage on the road. They have only one "quality" win... @ Carroll early, and yet still finish the year with a chance at the NCAAs. I would have to say it is a long shot, but...

Well I'm pretty upset that SNC is hosting both tournaments, does that count ?? LOL.

Carroll is the team to keep an eye on. Despite rave pre-season reviews they've played very average basketball this year; however they seem to have it together right now. We will find out if they are a one man team this weekend.

And before anybody thinks I'm actually mad at SNC, I'm not. It's just that the scheduling involved with hosting both tournaments isn't exactly convenient.

They haven't mentioned anything about tickets yet and they're not releasing the tournament previews until tomorrow. Let me go and have a few drinks and then maybe I will be mad at them when I come home.

Tickets are $5/adults and $3/students and are only available at the door and are good for the entire day.

I couldn't get mad when I had a few drinks today as the owners girl friends daughter was working. All of them were there so that's essentially 3 of my bosses. Since I'm lobbying for more hours I didn't think it wise to throw a fit about a basketball tournament that nobody but I would know anything about. That being said, you may redeem your MWC Tournament ticket stubs for a freebie on Saturday and Sunday at "The Jim" on Schofield Ave. in Weston, WI. 7AM-Noon only. Good tips expected but all tips accepted

Now I will whine for a while....................... Ripon and Carroll travel well and Schuldes doesn't hold 2000 no matter what the proclaimed capacity is. There are simply too many teams in close proximity to not have advanced sales of some kind. The fire marshall may come into play here and I don't feel like making the trip only to be turned away. Booo, poor planning, booo.

Well, we put 2,546 paid in here for a WIAA sectional tournament game here three years ago so I think we'll be OK, since I don't think any MWC game has drawn over 1,200 yet this year.

Now there IS something to be upset about. No advance sales of tickets. Ah well, maybe we can get the men's tournament back where it belongs next year.

Now, for prediction #1. Carroll over Lake Forest. If it comes down to free throw shooting, Lake Forest doesn't have it; Carroll does. I like Hoch and Grosshuesch and Carroll's overall team speed in this one.
