Did Mr. Jumping Bean ever consider (outdoor) track & field?  I'd think he'd even give a Monmouth guy a run for his money in the jump events, maybe.   :)

Congratulations to Jacob Tucker of Illinois College for winning the dunk contest at the Final Four in Houston, TX last night defeating all of the D-I players in the nation participating in the event.  Jacob made a big name for himself last night and his outstanding jumping ability (50 inch vertical) on his 5'10" frame is the talk of all of college basketball.  Jacob, furthermore, has made his alma mater, Illinois College, the Midwest Conference, and all of D-3 proud.

For those of us that have watched his "hops" during his collegiate career (and we all have been thoroughly amazed the times we have witnessed it), it is great to see him get national recognition, too.  No doubt all of us remember the first time we saw him elevate in traffic and literally "throw it down" in a MWC game.  That just does not happen in the MWC every day.  We all were "rolling" in our seats in complete surprise (I know that I sure was).  Now, the entire nation knows of this feeling.  Congrats, again, to Jacob.  I hope that your success last night leads to additional doors opening for you in the future.

Congrats to Tucker, the kid can clearly jump out of the gym.

Is there any video of Tucker dunking in games on YouTube or anything like that?  The highlight tape clearly has some pretty amazing dunks, but I'd love to see some dunks that "count" too.

Yes, there is video of Tucker dunking in real games on YouTube.  Keeping looking is my suggestion.

I believe I came across an article that said he competed in track and field during high school, but did not delve into any more specifics.  Cannot find the exact article either, so take it for what it's worth.

Sorry I could not be of more help.  Good luck with your gasket.

How come none of the MWC room regulars (Scottie in particular) have mentioned the fact that Monmouth has a new head coach? According to the WIAC room, UW-Whitewater assistant coach Todd Skrivseth was hired several days ago as the new mentor of the Fighting Scots.
