Tough one for the Pioneers in Ripon as the Foresters gain a game surviving an OT game at the Alex.  Doesn't get any easier for either team as Grinnell heads to Green Bay and Lake Forest goes to Waukesha, if I remember the schedule correctly.

GC shooting was hurting and I have to give credit to the RC defense. They really smothered the shooters, were effective at breaking the press, and generally played a great game. GC kept it within reach but failed to connect on key shots. didn't help that GC got into foul trouble early in both halves. However, props to the team for not giving up - I actually thought they executed the system fairly well. We'll see what happens today with SNC!

Ripon 47 foul shots, Grinnell 9.........accurate, or extremely bogus?  Just kidding, Scottie.

Grinnell lives by the sword, etc. Very poor shooting night by the Pioneers 28% from the arc and 55+% from the line. They would not have to had shot well to win; just fair. 33% and 66% might have done it.

Ripon really needed this win after dropping that game to Lawrence and they went out and got it. Now, it's Grinnell with their backs to the wall. At least with a view to host the tournament. So lets all root for the Pioneers to pick up 2 wins today (both Pioneers).

And just like that, Grinnell not only goes two down in the loss column to Lake Forest, they also are a bubble team in the Pool C race for the NCAAs.

I don't think there will be a Pool C out of the MWC this year. I also said that during football season too, so who knows. For those interested in the NCAA Tournament I highly suggest winning the conference tournament.

Since the 4th place team already has 10 wins and Beloit can only get to 8 at best................. at least they beat Monmouth twice. Sorry scottie, had to say it.
