So are the 2014/15 recruits announced? 

I know who St. Norbert recruited.  What about LU?  Ripon College, Carroll College, Grinnell College?

Ripon brings in 10 new faces.  9 freshman.  1 Sr Div I transfer who will play the  2-3 spot.  Freshman class has a PG, and a SG.  The rest are 6'6" or 6'7" with very different skill sets.  2-3 of these kids might have a quick impact.  The Sr will play.  Otherwise this team will ride the talents of So. Ty Sabin and Sr. Kyle Loughrin.  Both are natural 2 guards but score in different ways.  Last year's PG has transferred after starting for 2 yrs and they also graduated 1 other starter.  The RedHawks were 15-9 last year.  Coach Kane looks to improve on that with an infusion of DI leadership and young talent.  Which is always scary.  It may not always be pretty but it won't be boring.  Excited to be part of the D3 Boards.

Ripon will probably be the favorite this year along with Grinnell. St. Norbert lost too much to likely contend. Carroll will probably be in the mix also. After that might be a big dropoff.

The Dangler selling SNC short?  I expect them to be formidable.  As always, better Dead than Red.

Does the conference provide any guidance to schools on admission prices to their games?   I get into LU games gratis--they should charge--but I feel Ripon and Carroll charge too much.

I will climb in my car tomorrow and drive 7 hrs to see this game.  This will be my kid's first college game as he is a Redhawk freshman.  Really looking forward to seeing Mr. Sykes in person.  Hopefully he doesn't posterize my son more than a couple times.

Ripon was down 5 at half.  Got to within 2 early in the 2nd.  Then Mr. Sykes said that was enough.  Ripon still hung around at 10-12 down for much of the 2nd and ran out of gas.  This Redhawk bunch will be fun to watch.

I remember when Lawrence was beating the Badgers in 2005 before Alondo Tucker said enough.  Bo Ryan's halftime radio interview walking off the court was classic--"Are you watching that freshman? (Kroeger) If he made another 3 pointer we would be down."   

The Redhawks are a good team, but it's important to always remember that its better to be dead than red.

So that's the 2nd time you've hit me with that line.  I freely admit to being new to the conference, these d3 boards, and your Rhodes Scholar wit.  If this line has a long history as a heart felt insult within the conference, just let me know and I will play along.  If its just you being a dick, let me know and I will try and keep up.  Thanks again for your help.

I heard it 20 years ago, and it seems to be a comment that gets under the skin of RedHawk fans.  I have a feeling that Ripon will win the MWC this year if that makes you feel better.

A lot of MWC schools would chant "Better dead than red" at Ripon back in the day. Lawrence did it the most though. I don't know if it's because it started there or they were each other's fiercest rivals back in the day.

I think the Redhawks are viewed more positively as Coach Kane seems to behave himself pretty well on the sidelines.

I was told Ripon beats Lawrence in OT today. Box score not posted yet.

I only could stay for the first half, as I had to work at the Oshkosh tournament.  Lawrence was ahead 33-30.  The fouls were very unbalanced, Ripon had 4 or 5 and Lawrence had at least 12.  The officials in this league continue to disappoint. 

I hope they got better after halftime, because they looked like fools in the first half.  I recognized the crew chief, the other two blind mice performances were unacceptable.
