Couldn't help but notice comment about "smaller roster this season due to massive graduation losses over the past two seasons."

If you know you are losing large numbers to graduation, shouldn't that mean you are recruiting more kids than normal?

I've learned at the Division III level, you can see the writing on the wall, but that doesn't mean you can do anything about it. Sure, they are recruiting and I don't know any coach (who doesn't already have an exit plan - i.e. retirement) who isn't working hard to bring in players especially when they see  a deficit coming. However, that doesn't mean all the stars align accordingly. There are a ton of variables involved and there are plenty of good, great programs out there that hit a lull. Wooster isn't exactly swimming in the recruiting game these days despite being one of the most consistent programs in Division III period.

I think he took the high road and didn't say anything about the 2 year starter who decided 2 days before the season to no longer play, as well as a freshman who would have contributed (clearly in the rotation) deciding at the 11th hour not to attend LU.  Two solid scoring players may be the difference this year between being in the league tournament and not.  Nikitas is covering for that gap admirably.

Cubs, I am not interested in your biased agenda vs the coach at LU, but I respect your constitutional right to blather on incessantly about it.  :(

While I have your attention, what happened to Guske?  He was a classic Pat Miller D2 or D1 transfer....but there is no sign of him anymore.  ???

Just giving you a taste of your own medicine....

Anyway, maybe if JoJo and staff spent more time and effort on the recruiting trail, they wouldn't have a roster shortage?  I see more high school assistant coaches at some games scouting opponents than I see LU staff recruiting players.  Maybe LU should put those same guys on the payroll to get numbers up!!!!

It says something when other MWC schools are bringing in HUGE classes despite limited graduations from the year before.  I'm sure the student-athletes figure their odds are better at making the MWC/NCAA Tournament at the other schools than they are LU given JoJo's track record though!!!!

SNC keeps their MWC winning streak going with a 62-59 comeback win over LU....

With SNC ahead 57-56, Devalk didn't allow Nikitas to sniff the basket the last 2:30 and LU had multiple empty possessions...  Other than a three point basket by Petersen, LU wasn't able to muster much on offense.

LU has a player get a stupid technical with two seconds left to help SNC avoid the upset....

Gary Grzesk shows once again why he is the best coach in the MWC down the stretch....

Just got back from Appleton. One team was poised down the stretch and one team was not. The team that was poised won the game. Reflection of the leadership on the bench and on the floor.

I've lost track. How many in a row is that for SNC?

I was not able to attend the game last night so I have no first hand knowledge of what happened other than the score. Another loss by a small margin for Lawrence. Disappointing.

judgetrainer

Oh, my God. LU led by 15 in the second half and still lost? When they go cold they go really cold.
