The Roop

That Beloit-Lawrence game is a week night. So you had better make it worth my while.

It is settled then.............. "The Roop" has heard the cries from the millions and millions of "The Roops" fans.  Other commitments (mainly work) do not allow "The Roop" to make an appearance in Chicago-land this year, however, Kenosha Wisconsin is a short pilgrimage for all those seeking to become one with the New Roop Order.

Yes, it is true. "The Roop" will appear at the Kenosha Bratwurst, Tile Center and Basketball gym this Saturday. Otherwise known locally as the Van Male Arena. Yes I have hotel money but ladies please bring valid I.D's as I don't want to go to jail.

I'm sure that this thrills the ladies of Kenosha to no end, Roop, but the sad truth of the matter is that Van Male Arena (like the rest of the Carroll College campus) is in Waukesha, over fifty miles away.

mwc4life - Thanks!  My karma has gone up 3 points since T2K's evil threat.  Do you think the MWC would allow me to donate a few karma points to the final score of the Scots' next game?  It might keep them out of Overtime... :D

scottie - Just like mwc4life, I got you on the karma also!  Already gave you one of those points earlier in the day. :)

The Roop

Not a bad point GS but I don't see much difference from the Kenosha Bratwurst, Tile Company and basketball gym and the Waukesha Bratwurst, Tile Center and Basketball gym. It's all South Milwaukee to me.

Complain about mileages all you like, I'm not visiting the "North side" this year. Might hit Waukegan after the season so I'll let you know.

I'd be persnickety and point out that Waukesha is due west of downtown Milwaukee rather than south, but I feel that this bit of dialogue from Animal House best describes our conversation:

Bluto: Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell, no!

Otter: Germans?

Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

I'm not interested. Would you go and ask your master if he would like to join my court at Camelot.

But then, of course African swallows are not migratory ...

Oh, yeah.

... so they couldn't bring back a coconut, anyway.

Wait a minute -- supposing two swallows carried it together?

No, they'd have to have it on a line.

Well, simple! They'd just use a standard creeper!

What, held under the dorsal guiding feathers?

Well, why not?

Impressive GS...

You're disgressing to Monty Python on this board while simultaneously (and at the same time) digressing to Elmer Fudd on another.

And people think you're not multitalented! ;D

You are the king.

(How do you know?)

(He hasn't got SH#T all over him.)

The Roop

Taken from the Carroll website:

Oprah Winfrey was one of the many guests at the May 8, 2005 Commencement. Winfrey's niece, Alisha Hayes, was among the approximately 425 students who received diplomas.

Given the academic standards of the MWC, I'm not sure it's a good sign that a member institution only "approximately" knows how many graduated.

Well done, Roop, well done.

Cool as the other side of the pillow.

I was WAAAY to quick to post, granted "the Roop" deserves his praises, but I didn't read all the Animal House and Monty Python quotes, and have to participate.

Is it behind the rabbit?

No.....it IS the rabbit.

Another personal favorite:

"What's on the telly?"

"Looks like a penguin."

... And later ...

"Burma!"

"Why'd you say that?"

"I panicked."

I'm not sure what to think when the Roop becomes the comic force on this board. Is it good? Bad? Or simply a sign of the coming apocalypse?  ::)

Anyway, good luck to GC in their Saturday battle against LF. Here's hoping it's not called on account of the snow storm heading our way!
