Warren Buffett is the second richest man on planet earth, with a net worth somewhere north of $30 billion.  (In fact, depending upon the price of Microsoft stock, there may be days where he is #1.)

Odds are, if he ever chose to come through, NPU's endowment would double overnight!

At least double. NPU's endowment is walking-around money for Warren Buffett.

Well, sort of true.  Guys in his bracket don't generally carry ANY money - that's what 'minions' are for! ;)

Though Buffett seems to be a 'down-to-earth' exception.  I bet he DOES carry his own money, but I bet it is only a couple of hundred bucks.

Yeah, he COULD multiply NPU's endowment by several powers of ten, but I didn't want you to go drooling over something that apparently isn't going to happen!

Gregory Sager

Ya never know. NPU could be in his will, or something. Hope springs eternal.  ;)

Sorry, folks. Grinnell has Warren all wrapped up. His investment strategy and advice gave GC its second big push toward financial stability in the early 70's (after the gift from Bob Noyce of Intel stock. Intel is the company that Noyce, a Grinnell grad, founded in the 60's). He is a lifetime member of the GC Bored of Trustees, and constant provider of advice and money.

Apparently his niece couldn't get in to Grinnell. :D

The Roop

Still nothing from the Carroll fans.................. I think the ref should step in and stop this one before somebody gets hurt.

Ahhhhh, that explains why I've never heard of him. I've got a Mac.

There is group therapy for that,  Roop.  Now that they have an Intel chip and can go normal speeds, you will be able to type faster than you think!!  ;D

Ah, Intel! Good Old Grinnell Grad Bob Noyce strikes again. Of Course, Steve Jobs used to be on the Grinnell College Bored Of Trustees as well. Took his (Noyce' old company 20 years of development to finally make a chip that would speed up a Mac!

The Roop

Regardless of chip set it's obvious I can out think the Carroll fans as they have not answered the bell by posting even one comment. I'm sure it's because they are busily decorating the campus in anticipation of "The Roops" arrival there today.

Perhaps so. But if she took an English class at North Park, she certainly knows the proper construction of a sonnet.  ;D

Mr "The Roop"-
Are you telling me that you know Gregory Corso but not Warren Buffet?  Are you a closet Beat Republican? ???

The Roop

Actually I thought you were implying that Gregory Sager was Lee Corso, hence Gregory Corso....................

Gotta run now. There's an official Apple store not far from Carroll but they won't be open after the game. I find that odd for a mall store but what can ya do.
