The Roop

I vote for a single round robin schedule, after a merger with the SCIAC and adding one team from Hawaii. They could also be the permanent host for the MWC Tournament.

There are five byes, and they will probably not all be needed for geographic reasons.  I think an undefeated team has a shot at one of them.

If we want to be completely accurate about Alex's seating capacity, without the extra bleachers, its 1280, with its 1650.  Those are the numbers that wrere used in determining seats available for NCAA ticket sales in the past, like when LU hosted Lakelan 2 years ago.  So technically, it would be good for at least one game, and could get at least a seriousl look for a 4 team sectional.  Would it be tight, yes, could it be done, also a yes.

I have a scary feeling about the RC game tonight...we lost when we wrere # 4 last year, # 3 this year...the refs always seem to have some impact whether its tossing Tharpie, or calling fantom fouls on Vikings down low...but I just have a bad feeling.  If we win tonight..I feel rerally confident about our chances the rest of the way.

You guys don't see the IP addresses?

I wasn't aware of that. Wonder if I can get that changed on the software setup.

... or 18, if you want to adopt Roop's expanded MWC/SCIAC/Hawaii circuit.

(Do you have a new name for this league, Roop? The Sunshine Conference? The SP-15 League? The Snowbird and Beach Bunny Association? Or are you going to pull a who-cares-about-accuracy, we're-traditionalists Big Ten job and continue to call it the Midwest Conference?)

Men's halftime scores and women's finals will be available on the Midwest Conference homepage (www.midwestconference.org) as they become available tonight.

As usual, box scores will be posted on the men's and women's pages ASAP following the conclusions of the contests.

The Roop

I'd have to stay with the Midwest Conference name or we'd lose the automatic bid for 2 years.

GC 123 - MC 113

GC dominated the game, although MC kept it close. Strong 3s from MC. #32 is going to be a threat in the coming years. Congrats to Jack Kennedy for coming back from an injury early and nailing a string of 3s for GC. Excellent efforts from Guzman, Long, Ticus, Arsenault. And yes...Grotberg. He was in quite a bit. Not the entire game but pretty darn near.
