Not to be a salty sam...but until he leads his team to the promised land, B to the OPPER is the POY...however, in the spirit of running a good blog, you shall see nothing but props to Hinz on MWC Hoops b/c....well, his stats were ridiculous!

Well, I was hoping for a split this weekend but honestly, this isn't the way I thought GC would ge t it. Great Job, Beloit!

I heard the hinz blocked Grotberg down low a number of times. THAT is a statement! Good to see Bobby Long finally having the game of his career to date. We be lickin' wounds, but the next 3 games will have no back-to-back nights. That definitely plays into Grinnell's hands.

Congrats to the bucs and Hinz, great nite, great to get on the ESPN stat line!! how exciting;) The bucs have beat knox 2x this year, so the tiebreaker goes to BC. I agree the bucs guards need to step it up to free up Hinz on the inside. With Towns ankle much better, and great game last nite, it should happen! Hendry, Skelton, and Towns will mix it up- I guarantee. Your still in it BC- git-r-done.

Hinzs 3 blocks were all against Grotberg down low and occurred on consecutive possessions. John was noticeably frustrated after the third to say the least.

gobucs - it's not as great a violation as not using "quotes" for "The Roop" but Git-R-Done simply must be in capitalized. If 12 years in Foxworthy Country has taught me nothing else I have learned redneck spelling and grammar. git-r-done is as incorrect as breaking down "mightcoulda" into three seperate words.

In next weeks lesson I'll explain the diference between mightcoulda and problymightoutta.

Actually it was 9 players in double figures, as all 5 of Ripon's starters hit double figures and 4 Monmouth players reached double digits.

Those who haven't poked their heads out of their conference recently might note that Hinz's rebounds aren't just a school mark, they tie the Division III record.

For those unaware it was also "gobucs" day at Flood Arena Saturday. Former Coach Knapton was there to be a part of it and they even gave out official "gobucs" Fan-ta-Sticks during the game.

Just wish I had more time to spend with the gobucs contingency but I was busy explaining "the system" to "The Roops" mom while watching the game myself. "Not another 3" she would say. "Mom, that's what Grinnell does, don't worry about it". "But it's every time". "Well, not every time just most of the time".

Nice crowd too. Largest I've ever seen, or even heard of, in Flood. 2010. No doubt a Russian connection in there somewhere.

Whose rebounding record did Hinz tie ?? Last time I saw anybody dominate a game like that was Gerald Reece from William Penn in the 81 Regional Consolation game. I think he had 47 points but I'm not sure of the rebounding totals from that game.

Hinz will be tied for only a few more days though. I'm thinking he'll have 40 or 41 @Lawrence on Wednesday. Hope I can go, just not sure yet. Probably no need to as Beloit has an Ace in the hole this week. A certain media curse will be afoot.

Actually she drives, LOL, although night driving isn't a strong point of hers anymore so I think next year I'll take over. Dad usually comes too but he had some last minute "for entertainment purposes only" SuperBowl Pools to enter.

Kind of a long story about how I started going to the games but if you're in St. Norbert or at the Carroll game, just look me up and I'll splain.
