Score update:

Carroll  39
Ripon   38

Late in 1st

Carroll kids on WCCX are doing a nice job if you're interested in the broadcast.

Pat Coleman

Alright, I've heard (and been involved in) a lot of crazy things as a broadcaster but this is a new one on me. The broadcast just went off the air because apparently they ran out of time on a calling card.

I think the equivalent of that for me was a game at Mary Washington where someone unplugged the phone line three times. It was at the ticket window and for some reason people thought it was OK to unplug the phone line stretching out of the jack and into the gym.

The third time it was unplugged even though I had taped over it with duct tape. I went off on the student worker and threatened to call the league commissioner. That got the job done, even though I knew the commish had no power whatsoever.

What is this...amateur hour?  I would only expect that type of "quality" from Knox.

Pat Coleman

Well, keep in mind, the problem could be the phone line at Ripon.

schwanman - Any word on the Scots-Foresters game yet?  I'm out of town right now, thus unable to go to today's game, and now relying on you to post the score (scottie is depending on you too :D).

Go Scots!

FINAL -- Monmouth 69, Lake Forest 63.

Scots make the plays at the end after being down nine at the half. Terwelp was very solid again (9-of-10, 18 points). He and Blaise Rogers combined to score the Scots' final nine points.

And in a major break from the routine, the women beat Lake Forest for the first time in 22 years, thus giving Monmouth its first-ever men's-women's sweep of the Foresters.

SNC 77
Beloit 63  FINAL

Carroll 94
Ripon 87   FINAL

-Schmitting comes off the bench (anyone know why??) and goes 8 for 8 from the field for the second straight game.

-Losses by Beloit and Ripon pretty much wrap up playoff spots for both Knox and Grinnell.

Schwannie - You just won Scottie's "Most Satisfying Post of the Year" Award.  Nice job to both Scots teams.

The Roop

Not sure which was more frustrating. Having to work today so I missed the start of the game or driving 90 miles to see what I did. Hmmmmmmmmm. Only conclussion I can arrive at is that somebody needs to take Beloits shovels away so they stop digging holes for themselves.

Apparently Beloit doesn't want that last spot.  Does Knox have the tie-breaker?
