The coaches vote.  They, of all people, will understand if a guy is sacrificing personal stats for the good of the team.  If they don't think a guy's good enough to vote for, they won't do it.

Again, checking your spelling before posting might help you be taken more seriously.

"The Roops" advice is this...............

If you wouldn't say it face to face, don't say it on the boards.

Here ends the lesson.

I agree that Tharp has a very good shot at National coach of the year.  Especially if...

a. The voting is allready over, and because of thier undefeated record and number one national ranking he should recive it.   Or more likely...

b. If LU can get a ways through the tournament, final four would basicially have to have it locked up, but only time will tell

For Justin and Larry U:

Don't mention your karma, or it will inevitably contend with mine.  I know I got a lot of this from the folks in the Rat Patrol and (the previously named now the hatchet is buried Rat Hole), but asking for help is a guarantee of lower numbers.

Justin, editing won't matter.  Let it fly, we know what you mean.

If Tharp doesn't win coach of the year, then the system is messed up.  Any coach whose team plays the quality opponents that LU did and goes undefeated is the hands down winner in my book.

You guys aren't going to get a lot of complaints out of me for the All-conference selection.  If it was between Schmitting and Johnson for the second team, Schmitting had the better year.  Johnson had better numbers then Maclin did, but his teams success was the determining factor....you have to win games to get recognized...unless you are Josh Hinz.  Johnson had better numbers then Beckford did, but being a senior Beckford should get his due...even though his team was bad this year.

Not sure I've seen the quality of a player like Bo Johnson at almost 20pts/7brds a game get honorable mention.  Not to mention he was top ten in steals a game and 3pt. pecentage.  A little strange, but hey Ripon had a terrible terrible year and hopefully he uses it as motivation for next year.

Maybe Gillespie should get together with Ted Van Dellen at Oshkosh and figure out why they both underachieved so much this year.

If they played each other in 2006 it would have been a 5 OT as both teams simultaneously ran out of eligible players on a double foul.

There will always be karma snipers out there who smite for no good reason. I usually know well in advance of hitting the "post" button if mine will be taking a dive or not. But when it takes a dive for no good reason I know that the folks with a motor hanging in their tree had nothing better to do that day.

IWU vs. Carroll= Huge for MWC vs. CCIW bragging rights.  The draw may look tough but this could be a blessing in disguise for the MWC.  Especially if CC beats IWU and LU pounds North Central (or St. Thomas after they beat NC).  A good showing could almost delineate a case for three maybe four MWC tourney teams in the future.  Its all about history correct.

Incorrect. They wipe the slate clean after every tournament, and each year teams have to get in on their own merits, not upon what they or their league did the year before. If it was "all about history," the WIAC and the CCIW would never have had years in which they were each relegated to only one team apiece. Yet for most of this decade those two leagues have in fact been represented by solo artists rather than an ensemble.
