Titan2000,

Members of the "New Roop Order" never bow unless told to do so from up on high. Since you are now in violation, I will reveal secrets as to your lifetime membership status's. Or would that be statae ???

Pool A Members are those who post on the boards and do so with a Mac. It's an automatic bid type of thing. For this reason JeffP and Diehardfan are permanent members whether they like it or not. Pool C members are those who choose to join voluntarily. gobucs and Cabonney/Mr. Ypsi are two examples. Sam Johnson is provisional at the moment.

Then we have Titan2000. A Pool B. The NRO does not discriminate and we certainly didn't discriminate by accepting you in  :D  ;D  :D

Mr. Sager rates Pool C status for his bacon trees comment, but hasn't officially expressed an interest.

Hey, I'm posting from a Mac right now.

The only thing holding me back from joining your NRO is the fact that I can't afford the dues.  ;) Plus, you know that old Groucho Marx saying: "I would not join any club that would have someone like me for a member."

I don't think you can really argue that viking68. It wasn't so long ago that many, including myself, were predicting a 12-4 conference champion this year. Don't downgrade the rest of the conference because two good teams had great seasons. That gave the rest of the conference more losses than they otherwise would have had.

For example. 3 of the 4 games Beloit had vs. Carroll and Lawrence were decided by 6 points or less. The only blow out loss was at Lawrence. The other 3 could have gone either way. The MWC is very good, better than most think in my opinion. Lets savor the moment of having two teams in with winnable games ahead of them.

I'll need to review that one. 1. because you're now on a Mac and 2. because I've only heard Rich Little doing a John Wayne impression about memberships. I've not heard the Groucho version.

Having consulted (on another format) with the West Coast Chapter President of the NRO for a rules interpretation. Gregory Sager is now a Pool A life time member. So let it be written, so let it be done.

It's hard to say no to a guy who keeps impersonating Yul Brynner.  ;)

I'd just love it for the MWC to get a nice deep playoff run where they finally get to prove the worth of this league! :)

They have recently become a very solid two or three team conference, like the MIAA (Hope, Calvin and Albion), NCAC (Wooster and Wittenberg).   :D

>:(

But Tom, dear, it's not the same two or three teams every year! Who has been good in the MWC in the last ten years? Lawrence, Carroll, Ripon, Grinnell.... Wouldn't that make them more like WIAC or the CCIW?

  :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
  :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

:D :D :D

Seriously though, I went down as saying that I felt that #4 in MWC, Lake Forest would be able to compete with CCIW schools in 03-04. I still think that. And Beloit is still the one who has the best basketball legacy in the league. This a good league. Believe it, or die.  :D

So how do I improve my provisional status?  :D

sam, roop, jeffp, etc.

What do you guys think about the Carroll/ Ill Wes. matchup?
I think it should be a heck of a game.  I will be pulling for Carroll.

I really like the match-up.  IWU was the preseason #1 and has had a solid season - but not great by their standards.  And one could argue that Carroll is the #2 team in the country.  (You could!)   It should be a helluva game, with the Pio's having a slight home court (State) advantage.  (IWU fans should travel well.)  The MWC can continue their "MO" and elevate its reputation by knocking off a couple of CCIW foes.  GO MWC!

HEY PAL, DON'T BLOCK THE SHOT!

LU_nut

I would love to see a couple of MWC victories over the CCIW.

thanks scottie
