That is true, there would be very few tickets in a four team sectional.  Big doubts about Lawrence getting to host.  That will make it much harder for them to beat Whitewater.

LU fans, don't worry, you won't need a ticket after Saturday.

But if they sell as two different games in a 4 team sectional, they can work something out im sure that works.Theres always a way to make it work.

You mean like a game at 3:00, run everybody out and then a game at 7:00. I'd have no problem with that. The fans that would be travelling any distance should already be in town by then.

Quote from: Hoops Fan on March 02, 2006, 09:43:26 AMBy the way wasn't Jeffrey Jones just sentenced to like 15 years in prison for Child Molestation?  I'm sure the LU administration loves people to know where he went to school.

Jones isn't incarcerated. He's currently on probation for five years after being convicted of "using a minor for prohibitive acts" (a felony in California). He pleaded out on the misdemeanor charge of possession of child pornography. He was busted for taking and then keeping photos of a naked 14-year-old boy. He got caught as part of an investigation of his buddy, notorious Hollywood libertine Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens.

Do you have a stand-up show later tonight?  You're just trying out new material now.  And to think I was this close to selling out to the NRO.

I've always been a mac user, although I might be too old school as I view the OS X as "selling out."

Well you're in then. Mac usage, regardless of OS is a Pool A bid.

The Post-Crescent Wrote this about me acouple years ago, after i called for info about Baraboo's Football Field.I never thought it would lead to a fricking story in the paper.Let us give thanks for those with the courage to meet tough challenges.
Dan VanderPas, Post-Crescent Assistant Sports Editor

As long as there are sports, there will be trivia questions.

Readers want you to look up the number Howie Ferguson wore when he was with the Packers. Or they're interested in some question like who batted eighth for the Milwaukee Braves during the third game of the '57 Series.

But this phone call, directed to The Post-Crescent sports desk on Nov. 15, was much more meaningful. It was from a guy who is thankful for the little things. He is thankful for life itself. His attitude could inspire those who take the basics for granted.

"I'm in a wheelchair," said 28-year-old Justin Meronek, a 1994 Waupaca High School graduate living in Kimberly. "I want to go to Baraboo to see Waupaca High School's playoff football game against Mosinee.

"Do you know if the field at Baraboo is accessible? Do they have a track around the field so I can move around during the game in my wheelchair?"

Meronek's question made me realize how complicated travel -- and life -- can be when you have muscular dystrophy or some other disability. I told him that I had never seen Baraboo's football field. So I phoned Baraboo High School and got the answers. He attended the game and watched Waupaca defeat Mosinee 23-7.

While he was able to cheer Waupaca's win, life has dealt Meronek more than his share of losses. Once in a while, he gets a little depressed, but it does not last. His attitude, fueled by his love for all sports, has kept him going.

Meronek was studying in Madison to be a radio sports announcer before a heart ailment forced him to drop out of school. Muscular dystrophy, a degenerative disease, eventually robbed him of the microphone. He hasn't been able to hit the airwaves in two years.

A few weeks ago, Meronek was determined to attend a Wisconsin Badgers football game. But he changed his mind after thinking about the difficulties he'd face.

"I can walk a little bit, but steps are a killer," he said. "I was going to go to the Badgers football game, but those steps. I just can't get into prolonged walking and climbing stairs. I didn't want to go and sit in a wheelchair. There are a lot of other people who need those places worse than I do."

Meronek's family has endured, too. His brother Jason is still suffering after incurring severe head trauma during a 1990 auto accident. And his sister Michelle was just released from the hospital after an eight-week stay with several medical problems.

It's enough to make some men declare "humbug" to Thanksgiving Day. But Meronek is an upbeat person. He refuses to be defeated. For him and his family, sports are therapy, and he's well-versed on the games preps and pros play.

"Sports is an outlet in life for me," he said. "I love ESPN. I love Waupaca High School sports and football coach John Koron-kiewicz. Every year has been a great year for Waupaca football. People like me, who graduated from Waupaca and are loyal fans, have been spoiled for the last 12 years."

Besides sports, Meronek is thankful for those around him.

"I have a lot of friends," he said. "I have a 14-month-old son, and a wonderful fiancee and stepchildren. They all help me a lot.

"This Thanksgiving, I have plenty to be thankful for. I have been blessed." this appeared in the November 28, 2002 edition of the P-C.

T2K was right, you are the biggest prick on this board.  Not much doubt there.

Speaking of early, that reminds me of some friends who live on a farm. They fed their calves late the other day and I asked if they got mad about it. They told me no, there are never any hard vealings.
