Greek Tragedy

I heard Jack Bennett in connection with Norbert; I wonder how serious that was?

Bennett's not interested.

Re:  Lawrence

So, now that we have been talking about Lawrence, how about some other reps from other MWC schools tell us what their teams are bringing back and losing and how they'll be next year.

I know Carroll was 14-2 and 2nd place, but will they be the contender next year?  Will Ripon get back on track.  Jeffp had some nice posts about Grinnell next year.  Is there anyone else that will step up, or is this truly a two-team league?

Congrats to Braier, Hinz, Drury and Grotberg for all region honors!

Old School-

Grinnell is gonna be fine next year. My recent posts were actually about THIS Years team, but since there were only 3 Seniors, and since one of the best players in grinnell history got hurt in January and did not play much in the conference, I think it is safe to assume that Grinnell will be strong next year as well. It would be nice if we could pick up a few big guys though.

Good enough to challenge the likes of Lawrence and Carroll?  I think Ripon will bounce back next year.

Depending on the recruits coming in, I'm pretty sure Grinnell will be able to hand next year (Carroll will be tough, though).

Perhaps the biggest coup with the all-region teams is the lack of Keelan Amelianovich on the MW first team.  I think that makes him inelligible for all-america, doesn't it?

And another surprise:

The Josten's Award winner didn't get the award for best player in the Region?!?

So, I thought the MWC fans might want revel in that.

Jeez, Old School! Give Hoops Fan a break! He has posted 3998 times in the last two weeks. So he missed the CCIW by one click! He is probably using 2 computers and posting in two rooms at once! ;D :D ;D

I didn't miss the room!!  And its Firefox tab browsing that makes posting in nine rooms at the same time possible.

There's more to the Jostens award than just basketball.  It includes academics and service as well, which the regional awards don't do.

I don't believe the D3hoops.com All-Region teams take either academics or community service into account.
