BTW, jeffp, nice picture in the latest G (alumni) magazine. I saw the young lady in what appeared to be a coffee house, and I KNEW where she had to be.

Yeah, Sarah is an employee! She is a great diver too-finished 11th in the  NCAA dIII meet last year, but was recovering from an injury this year and even though she qualified provisionally, she didn't get to dive.

That is Jeffp in the background leaning over the table talking to the old(er)fart, BTW!

Those stories are great, keep em coming. They're just like I remember.

FYI. The bear is on display in the sporting goods store at the Appleton Mall. The sign claims it was shot in Russia in 1996 but that's just a cover to throw off the Wisconsin DNR. It's illegal to keep live Grizzlies without a permit, etc.

I'd try to do something to stamp down Roop's ego, but it's so big I can't even see it anymore.  :P ;D ;)

Karma though to both  of you cause those were some hilarious stories!  :-*

Hah... just accidentally pressed the "report to moderator" option by accident, on one of my posts. This is the response I got...

You can't report your own post to the moderator, that doesn't make sense!

I always kinda wondered what would happen if I did that... my thought is that I'd get a PM from Pat telling me pretty much what the error said, but...  Looks like it was built into the system so Pat doesn't have to do the work himself!

Reading up on the always informative Sheboygan Press (OK, that's a total lie) and the All-Area team is out.  Topping the list as the Player of the Year (in the area, apparently) is John Dekker from Sheboygan Lutheran.  The paper says he's leaning toward playing at Lawrence.

He's 6'6" and averaged 25.8 ppg, 6.1 rbs, and 4.3 assists.  Says he is an underrated passer and very good interior defender.

Rob Caine (Sheboygan North) is 6'3" and averaged 14.9 a game, 6 rbs as well.  Says he's considering playing at St. Norbert.

How can someone be an underrated passer if none of us have heard of him yet?

"The Roop can and does report his own posts to the moderator.  It is for our own good though, as his amazing ability to accurately predict the future, coupled with the aforementioned ability to prove logical fallacies could be a danger to the rest of us."

Well, isn't that about as underrated as it gets?! ;D

Ryan Scott (Hoops Fan)

No then its unrated.  Underrated means people don't really know or talk about just how good a passer he is.  To be underrated assumes that he's been rated before, which is probably true in Cheboygan, but not on this board.

Just says he's ana above average passer or a superb passer, then at worst, he can be overrated on this board.

Typically it's the same weekend as the opening of Wisconsin rifle deer season. So without looking at a calendar I'm guessing November 16th this year.
