not to worry, JUSTINTYEM, we all have bad days. Just remember that the goofyness that is the MWC site is part of what makes it unique.

And to keep the "goofyness" going, there's nothing like the incoming freshmen. I mean "1st year" posters that need to be trained.

I don't usually have the time or energy for aiming.

Man, between this board and the listserv from my graduating class at GC, I swear I never know what I'm going to read. My wife - who attended Indiana University - would be amazed, confused and a little worried.

Regarding Mr. Patrick Choquette and his work in the Peace Corp, I admire his work, and I can't help but wonder when the national team from Ghana will start showing the benefits of a new system-atic approach to the game.  :D

Recognizing that my timing is w-a-a-y off and I ought to be doing this during the basketball season, I am looking forward to my first trip to the Saints Rest Coffee shop this Saturday. I'm bringing my oldest child for a bit of Grinnell indoctrination and will be stopping by to see jeffp for my morning caffine fix. I was thinking of wearing my Midnight Madness shirt, but I think I might look a little odd (more so than normal) on the campus tour.

The Roop

Just make another trip during basketball season. I'm sure Jeff will let you come back.

I've been wandering in the wasteland and have returned to be shocked--shocked!--that this is no longer a 'system' bball forum!! JeffP, what the heck is going on? No praising/demonizing Coach A and his band of fiends? Geez!!   ;)
Threes are better than twos....

jeffdc-
don't worry, there is still plenty of time...

SF86-
we've battened down, built the concrete bunkers, shored up the weak spots and generally made Saints Rest ready for your visit. And yes, you can certainly return any time. Shoot, even Mr "the Roop" is welcome back! Now, what does That say? ;D :D ;D

Do I have to drink a Roopacino? Not sure I can handle that.

And how did Mr. "The Roop" get a positive karma? I hate to even entertain the thought that he might be losing his touch. Nah! He is merely allowing his karma to rise to show the rest of us that it can happen if he allows it.

The Roop

I think the karma came from running a 3.2 40 in sandals. Don't worry, they weren't birkenstocks.

Roop got some karma because I wasn't around to keep it even and maintain the fragile structure of the universe.  I lost a day on my flight across the pond.

Who cares what anyone else is wearing on the campus tour?  If you're proud of system ball, wear the shirt.

By the way, UK tv gets away with some pretty insane commercials.

I just found out that Chris Braier won't be back for the Vikings this year.

That sucks, we are doomed.

What will Tharp do now?  ;)

Hate to talk basketball but I'm afraid I must. The new "in region" definition for teams in WI, IL and IA might actually ease the burden for traveling to Grinnell. Presently when you play Grinnell you have an inconvenient itinerary to say the least as Grinnell is nearly 4 hours away from the nearest conference member. Since all the teams in Iowa would now be in region, why not schedule a non-conference game with a local team when you make that trip.

Granted it's easier said than done and the MWC office would need to play an active role in working the schedules out. You still have a long trip home if you play in Grinnell on Saturday, but you could eliminate driving a few hours after your game Friday, get to your hotel, then drive another few hours before your next game on Saturday; or vice versa.

I'm a little surprised that upper Michigan wasn't included in the new definition. The 200 mile rule doesn't really help the provisional members in that area as D3s are few and far between up there. Everything is few and far between up there now that I think about it, LOL. Conference play would seem to be their only "in region" games once they become full members.
