That is funny Scottie....

You want me to pull some strings and get Stevie on this board again?

scottie

RR34: I am a funny guy.  (Please remember that when you read my comment to you on the Pick 'em board.)

Just tell Steve that there haven't been enough  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D 's since he went AWOL.  And, he sort of knows what he's talking about when it comes to basketball.  So, yes, get him back on here.

The Roop

Roop Vegas for tomorrow says take Carthage -17.5 and the over/under is 153.

Carthage 60 Beloit 48. The Bucs went through an 8 or 9 minute stretch in the first half when they couldn't buy one or hang on to the ball long enough to do anything with it. That was the difference. Carthage got stuck on 29 for a while and Beloit closed to 11 at the break 31-20. The game was as physical as the score implies.

For the GC fans out there, GC 139, Simpson 127. GC lagged almost the entire 1st half - did not look good for the Pioneers - shooting was flat and Simpson was disciplined. Then they picked up a tiny lead before the half, came back in the 2nd to widen the lead, and left the Simpson team ragged. All this with Grotberg having an extremely cold shooting night!

Fun evening.
Threes are better than twos....

Missed the Beloit game yesterday as I had a chance to attend UW- Marquette and despite my D3 roots could not pass it up.

Less than 50 points for the Bucs and an PPG so far this year of about 56.  So much for all the people who were claiming that this team may actually benifit from the departure of Hinz because scoring would be more balanced.

People should stop clubbing fur seals to death because that's what causes global warming. Once the seal is skinned their blubber (PC term for fat) evaporates and that makes the atmosphere a green house. Nevermind the proven science that says we just came out of a "little ice age" so a rebound spike in temperatures should be expected. Facts are never relevant when people with agendas want to scare others.

I doubt the ocean is going to rise 1000 feet in the next week but if you are worried about it I have an extra room in central Wisconsin where ocean levels are not a concern. Better reserve it now or the price MAY go up with the sea level.

Are you sure you're not less than 1,000 feet above sea level, Roop?  Wisconsin doesn't have much elevation.

Nice come-from-behind win on the road for the Scots on Saturday against Central, IA.  Chalk one up for the MWC.

David McMullen had another very good game with 10 pts., 8 assists, 4 rbs, and 4 steals (one turnover).  McMullen is averaging close to 4 1/2 steals for the season.  It was a great road win for the Red Hawks playing most of the game without Schmitting.  Chris Kellet could emerge as another scoring threat for Ripon (20 pts. @ Norby's)

I'm happy to report Brian Schmitting should be fine.  He bumped his head early in the first half.  With almost a month before Ripon's next game, he should be able to recover.

Early, you remember how it feels to bump your head right....or maybe you don't :)

I've had a few head bumps in my day......I think ???

Not sure of my exact elevation here but the Stealth Boat is housed in a secure facility just a few blocks  from NRO Headquarters. Regardless of the elevation at H.Q. Rib Mountain has 958 feet to spare so I'm covered. Chances are the in-rushing tide would push me that way even if I couldn't fire up the Monstrous 4 horses on the first couple pulls. Battery should still be charged so the S.B. could cruise on impulse power as the Mountain isn't that far.

Was hoping to have a Barry Alvarez story to share last night or today, but everybody else in town went to see him too; so I passed.

No Roop Vegas line on Judson @Beloit tomorrow. There doesn't figure to be enough of a handle to make it worth the effort of booking.

Judson's not very good; your boys might have a chance.

Given the recent course of events I caution you against referring to them as "my boys" as it implies I had something to do with their recruitment. I don't need any more 3rd party emails when all anyone has to do is check my profile and email me themselves. etc.

C'mon The Roop can't be shying away from the publicity of perfectly legal illegal dealings with recruits.  That is just not The Roop we've come to know and love.

Besides, why else would anyone go to Beloit other than to be closer to the realm of The Roop?
