Wow - I think that's the first time anyone other than an MC fan has said anything about the Scots...maybe Scottie's "Monmouth in 2007" will make a comeback...

On another note, I don't suppose any IC posters are out there to talk about the Jennings situation???  Long story short - since he only has one semester left athletically, he's quitting basketball so he can come back and play football next fall.

I wish Jennings would have retired from baskeball BEFORE he dropped 30 on the Scots!   :D

And, since I'm always willing to please...

"Monmouth basketball in 2007!"  ;D ;D ;D ;D
HEY PAL, DON'T BLOCK THE SHOT!

The Roop

For those unaware....... "The Onion" is a news parody type of publication, not to be taken seriously in other words. Appleton is indeed a nice place and I have yet to encounter any prostitutes there. My personal take on that shall remain a private matter but I can confirm that I have not encountered any prostitutes there.

Roop Vegas lines for this weekend: Beloit -8.5 Friday and Monmouth +3.5 Saturday.

I'm hoping to see the Circus in Appleton Saturday but it may be a last minute decision.

The Onion is supposted to be sarcastic? What?? Who knew! ??? :P

Someone did mention a significant gay pride / free love movement while I was there though... so apparently Appleton is loose, just in other ways. :D

Not that anyone in particular was supposed to take the bait on my last post, but they did.  ;D

Something like this would be more interesting.  So, the League-Wide package lets you watch any game (maybe multiple games in separate windows)? and the Team Season Pass gets you every game for "your" team?

Definitely happy with your picks, Mav...

...and I'm not at all saying the Scots are going to win out, BUT I gotta pick 'em while they're on a little roll.

April, I'm not sure if I know how to use the message feature on this site, but I tried to respond, albeit belatedly, to a message you left over a month ago.  Did you get it?

diehardfan

I did... I thought I had replied? ??? Oh well, I'll try again.... the answer is Yes! Most definitely! The CCIW fantasy league is an old beast, but it's always been by invitation only. It's also been dormant for a few years. This year I decided to try to revive it, and invited the old people and exclusively people I've met and know aren't crazy. Chuck fits neither of those categories but we let him in anyway. ;D :D ;) I think you'll add a lot to the league as a semi-neutral observer. (We all know you like Wheaton the best though. ;) ) And I obviously know you and trust you. There were already slim pickings when it came around to the last round of picks... but IMHO it makes the league more interesting to see which upstarts end up being worth their weight in gold... like my #7 draft pick Vincent Brock. 8)

That's interesting. My cousin, the flower child spirit in the family, lives in Appleton and raised her kids there. Must be something about the area.

I all the time I've posted on this site, I never thought about the fact that I could make the excuse of visiting my cousin to catch the Larry-Grinnell game...

Oh, that's right, I stopped thinking about it when it meant travelling to northern Wisconsin in January! I get chilled just thinking about it!

Greek Tragedy

It's central Wisconsin.  :D  And the roads aren't even bad!  :P

OS,
I think system might have been talking about the cold weather.  But still how long does one really have to be outside????  You drive up, park run inside and you are warm.

If the road contitions are the case, then he should stay down there.  People from Iowa can't drive in the snow ;D (  Got one in there!! :o).....but they still aren't as bad as anyone farther south.  1/2 inch and schools are shut down.  Wisconsin, 6 inches..."Ha, we can make it."

It's worse than that.  Kansas City, Missouri school district was closed on both Tuesday and Wednesday this week because it was "too cold."  Honest to God.  The roads were fine, but apparently 3 degree weather hinders the learning environment detrimentally.

I can't wait to get back to New England.
