Monmouth is NOT mathematically out of contention! In fact, the Lake Forest game on the last day could shape up to be the most important game in the conference if...

(NOT Old School)

dc- I haven't heard anything about tickets for that weekend if we host; my guess is there will be none, since we haven't come close to filling New darby since the ESPN2 game.

The conference doesn't require tickets for the conference tournament?  I've been to a lot of free venues that charge a few dollars for playoff games by order of the conference.

gcfan33-

Good to see you posting up again! The team has done you proud this year! Still up north?

Hoops fan- not sure about this year, but we haven't done it in the past when hosting!

Thanks, JeffP.  Old School probably used to put away his baseball gear when there were two outs...   :D

Here, then, is the updated look at the scenarios for the #4 spot:

Lake Forest    7-5       IC, at GC, at MC, KC
St. Norbert     7-6       BC, at CC, LU
Lawrence       6-6       RC, at BC, at SNC, CC
Monmouth      5-8       Knox, at IC, LFC
HEY PAL, DON'T BLOCK THE SHOT!

Don't worry about it OS, no harm no foul.

Although if I were one of your 4 other posters, we'd run run Beloit off the court the way they played tonight. It wouldn't bother me so much but I've already paid for the next two games because this was to be their stretch run. I guess Roop Vegas officially closes it's doors tonight because there's nothing left to bet on.

All yours now Dolph.....................

Nope.  Been down that road.  Pointed out last year that the team seemed to be underperorming again despite what should have been solid senior leaderships and got called a racist.  Pointed out this year that the Bucs have the worst record in the MWC since the current coach took over and was met with the comeback (from a poster who seems to have disaperared over the last couple of weeks) that the record of the Knox coach was almost as bad (now there is a ringing endorsment) and again hints that I was a racist.  Have been told that the real key is to start letting in players with an ACT of 18-19 and that for some reason this is the only program in the MWC to deal with injuries, road trips and questionable calls.

After this post, I will let the record speak for itself.  I love Beloit and wouldn't have traded my time there for anywhere (well, maybe if the University of Illinois had come calling during those days......).  The positives of going to school there went far beyond sports as I 'm sure they will for those who are currently playing.  I will continue to believe that the school can attract top talent and that the right person can take that talent back towards the top of the conference.  Others seem convinced that this is all we can hope for.

The really good news is that I tied for top scorer in the Alumni game this year. ;)

Good to hear.  That would cut down on the expense and increase the chance my wife will put up with it.

Don't worry Hoops fan, I keep cycling in older stuff to replace the old stuff that is in the box currently!

So the conference tournament would be the 23-24 weekend, right?  That's actually the only possible weekend I could get away this spring.  The planets might be aligning after all.

Dang HF, are things that tight that 'a few dollars' is going to get the boss to object?  ;) ;D

Stick it, Systemfan 68. The Grandkids are worth way more than your need to pester me.
I would like to point out that this was a typo of jeffp's part. I believe he was referring to GrinnellFan68 NOT systemfan[68].

Hmm. We know GC is always looking at ways to add to the endowment, as they're eternally living on the edge... ::)
Threes are better than twos....

I was at GC twice when the hosted the conference tournament and neither time were ticket prices charged.  Unless that's changed since the New Darby was built I doubt they'll charge for it.  They might if on the remote chance they host a first round game (now possible after all since they have a full-size NCAA court), but I wouldn't expect them to charge for the conference tourney.

In fact, we didn't even have tickets for either year, it was just pack them in as much as possible and get there early.
