You also forget McMullen had close to five rebounds a game, was second in the conference in steals and played on a winning team (11-5 is a good conference record).  He is the alltime leader at Ripon in steals and second in Assists.  I'm not quite sure he's ever made all-conference before, but you're going to tell me this kid from a terrible team, is better?  McMullen has put in his time and if I had to pick which player I'd rather have to win games, there's no question it's McMullen who is way more versatile.

I want to beat a dead horse too...
I don't think mcmullen is even the second best player on his team.  Paul Wise should be above mcmullen, Maclin didn't play defense, arseneault passed too much, grotberg shot too much, schmitting was too tall, Terwelp should have been second team, gillingham honorable mention at best, on and on and on...
That is what makes this board fantastic...i only truly believe mcmullen/wise aspect of the above rant...
The coaches in our league are some pretty bright individuals who know a thing or two about basketball and they all know pretty much everything about every team.  Take a look at what we lost as a conference last year and it opens up a lot of space for some new guys.  This wasn't the best talent our conference has seen by any means.  Those who made the list, i congratulate, those left off, if not leaving, will just have to work harder to make an impression won't they?

Lake Forest- I disagree that coaches know everything about every other team. No coach knows what happens in other practices, who leads other teams, who is the true captain and all the other intangibles that make a team great.

Carroll over Augie 33-29 at halftime. Hard to make assessments over the radio but it seems to me that Carroll is just out-hustling Augustana. A couple second chance and fast break points for the Pioneers. Everytime Augie ties it hits a big shot then Carroll comes down and answers. Drury is being a stud hitting a couple of big threes....

I was in attendence at Whitewater last year when Carroll played IWU. That game was real close but then Carroll faltered at the end when the size of the opponent wore them down. Hopefully they can contain Swetella in the second half and keep Drew Wessels a non-factor as well.
