Nice finish by Carroll is rewarded by the voters. They go from zero votes to 263 and a #14 ranking.

How good is the conference going to be next year? Carroll have someone to replace Drury? Is Lawrence going to be better? Ripon loses several players? How about Grinnell? Can they repeat?

Since the State of Wisconsin has just ruled in The Roops favor it's safe to say that this was an unwarranted termination. Unemployment benefits reinstated. As much as I'd like to celebrate tonight I have yet another interview in the morning.

Will work for $40,000 or more.
I did buy a lottery ticket following my dismissal and didn't win. So I think we can put that theory to bed.

Suddenly I am welcomed back with open arms. With a raise even. That's a very nice gesture but I've already found something else that involves a bigger raise. Are you willing to match or beat it ?? Ummmm, umm, well....... ahhhhh.

The State of Wisconsin has plans for my "Former Employer" as their lies are now self-evident. I've been accused of deliberate misconduct and/or quitting voluntarily just so they could avoid paying unemployment benefits. Neither of which are true. If ever a company needed to be investigated for "questionable" terminations this is one of them. Now it seems that they will be.

What does this have to do with basketball ?? Plenty. I have a number of "personal days" right from the start. A weeks vacation and two weeks after only 1 year. Since I'm on 3rd shift I can see all the games I want and only have to take part of a day off.

Justice is served.

I haven't needed one yet. My pay stub stating that I worked through the 6th kinda disproved the theory that I voluntarily quit on the 1st. However I'm still waiting on a final check for the remaining vacation time I had coming

Actually it was NRO University and the credits transfer to Father Sarduccis 5 Minute University. So I could take the 1 Minute Grad School Program without repeating any courses.

Amherst just won the National Championship with similar academic standards to your own. HINT HINT. Hire a Coach already.................... Maybe dropping out of the MWC would help attract more candidates too.

The league that Wind Lake and Delavan play in needs an extra team to balance the schedule. Probably can't slide it by the WIAA but it might be worth a try. Call it Beloit Chickering and see if that works.

Not sure if that would work either but what they've created is a dysfunctional mess for themselves. To which there is no good solution at this late date. Coach Adams kind of got a raw deal from the recruiting stand point when he became the womens coach but that was a little different. That involved a surprise resignation in the off season not a choreographed move. I guess they forgot the part about finding a replacement before making the move. Simple mistake, I'm sure anybody would have done the same.

Another day has gone by with no announcement. Which means that Beloit College is one day closer to a Birmingham-Southern situation.

as of just late last week they BC hadn't even got their search committee put together yet. they haven't even started the interview process. at this pace they wont have a new coach hired much before the beginning of the next semester. like you said, the AD new she was going to make this move long before the season ended (at least thats the way they presented the move) so you would have thought they would have some contact with some potential candidates and had this process done quickly allowing the new coach a chance to do some recruiting. Now it doenst look like thats going to happen.

I can understand the frustration for BC not more on the ball with things....but take a look around at the process of other small and even big schools. It is not unusual for these things to drag on past the Final Four, and would probably be a smaller percentage of a coach actually being hired before the DI Final Four because of the National Coaching Convention that takes place. Like I said before I hav enot been from the area but wasn't Milikin still looking for a head coach. At a school with rolling admissions there is always a chance to fill a our a recruitng class even with the May 1 national enrollment deadline.......
