Who are some of the other teams playing in exhibitions/scrimmages? When and where are they?

Monmouth plays Eastern Illinois University on Nov 1.

Lawrence plays @ UW-Green Bay Nov 5th

And just to confirm the question that shall be asked, though I haven't had nearly as long a hiatus as Jeffp, yes I am still alive.

Congrats to Monmouth College on the hire of exBADGER player, Mark Vershaw.  If I remember correctly he was from Illinois originally.  I always like him in RED and hope he has as successfull a coaching career.

He's the third exBADGER to be coaching in the Midwest Conference joining Brian Vraney (Beloit) and Chris Conger (Lake Forest).

Roop,

No one on the board ever answered your question, so I was curious if you ever found out if the wide receiver Ross will play basketball at Beloit?

According to the schedule they play North Central of MN, not the CCIW. Not sure how far apart the two are but I'm guessing it's over 200 miles so it wouldn't be an in region game.

North Central (MN) will only be a second-year provisional member of D3 this coming season, anyway, so no game against the Rams will count as a regional game regardless of where your school is located.

(BTW, for those of you interested in such things, NCU's women's teams are also called the Rams, as opposed to the Ewes or the Lady Rams or some other more taxonomically appropriate nickname.)

Did they get held back? They'd be a third-year provisional this year otherwise.

Officially I cannot confirm anything but Julian has been sighted playing with the team during his football off days. So I'm leaning towards yes. After seeing him on the gridiron he's obviously a great athlete so this makes the basketball team that much better.

I'm going by the chart that Ralph posted in the UMAC men's basketball room back in May. He linked to the NCAA website, so unless the NCAA has changed its designation for NCU since then it appears that, yes, NCU was held back.

Since only a limited number are accepted into the provisional status every year does NCUs being held back bump anybody out ?? If so I'm not sure how that's fair when NCU is the one not complying apparently.

Promotion happens at the July meeting, and NCU was moved forward to year 3. Actually, everyone got moved forward except for La Sierra.

The NCAA has not updated the document on their web site (which fortunately includes last year's date so we know it's out of date).

Very soon it will be Midnight Madness time so basketball season is not far off. Git-R-Done.

I checked out the link and noticed two prices for C sections. I'm guessing that's in case you're having twins............. ba dump bump. Thank you thank you, I'll be here all week; please don't forget to tip your waitress. Had to say that so Mr. Sager would not protest.

BeastMaster

Really looking forward to this season.  Looking for the Blueboys to have a good season.  Watch out for Freshman PG Dillon Binkley from IC.  Lock down defender that is very athletic.  Going to be a very good player in the MWC before it is said and done.

The Roop

No offense but per the poll it's said and done already. IC will sit this post season out I'm afraid.
