After checking this morning, this is Massey on Nova Southeastern:

Nova SE   7   8   0.229   (174)   2.91   (189)   69.69   (219)   6.13   (103)   2.25   (196)   7.53   (115)   SSC

.229 rating is equivalent to falling between Division III's 84th and 85th-ranked team.

We'll find out far, far more from tonight's game than a game against Nova Southeastern, is what I'm getting at.

I am real confused.   I assume given the time you have spent on all this that you are correct in what you are seeing.  I am not all that familiar with the Massey stuff.

However........I am looking at the Massey ratings through January 20th.  They show Nova at 7-8 and a rating of .345.  That equates to around 52nd in the D3 ratings.  By the way, I never new the ratings could be compared across divisions.

I am on the Massey site, looking at men's Division 2 ratings.  It has shown me the same thing yesterday and today.  What am I missing?

Your comment on the WIAC weightings would help explain why LU has always been treated so generously by Massey over the last 5 years when they typical had a win or two over a WIAC school.

You may be looking at rankings which do not take margin of victory into account. Massey had to remove MOV from his standard formula to meet the dumbed-down demands of the BCS.

You'd see a sentence at the top of the page that says something like this:
Ratings that use MOV are here (not available for D1)

Click on the link. Those are the classic Massey ratings.

Will the Larry-Oshkosh game be webcast or be available via live stats?

An Oshkosh AM station that just went online this year will call it live on radio.
I'll give Bob at WOSH some love. Pregame usually starts 15 minutes prior to tip.

Anyone who actually saw the last shot, feel free to describe it here. The Lawrence camera kid never bothered to show it.

Did Oshkosh actually get a shot off for the tie?  By looking at the running score, the last thing it shows is a timeout by LU.

Great win by LU tonight.  I didn't take notes, but it was obviously close the entire game.  I think LU got by on their depth, just barely.  LU held out their starting 5 until about 8 minutes left to go in the game and then brought them all in hoping (I think) that Oshkosh was worn down.  The flaw in this strategy was that there were so many timeouts in the last 2-3 minutes (How many timeouts for each team in a half? 12?) that the UW-O players had plenty of time to catch their breath.  It's nice the Lawrence can go 11-12 deep without losing that much quality.

LU played decent defense, but the 6-7 Seckar-Anderson really wore them out.  Fortunately, he was in foul trouble for most of the second half.  I was thinking that they should have helped Hurley and Page more inside against him.  On the other hand, UW-O's Miller can really stroke the 3 so it was a tough inside-outside combination.

Oshkosh lobbed it to Seckar-Anderson about 8 feet outside the 3-point line.  He turned and got a decent look, but missed badly.  I think the official may have waived off the shot anyway, but it was tough to tell.

good summary.  Miller absolutely kept Oshkosh in the game with his long range 3s.  Oshkosh was eating Page up inside.   Kroeger....soon to be MWC player of the year in my opinion, took care of business.  LU pushed the ball up, especially Kadison, which created some good looks for the shooters.

If LU can win on the road Friday and Saturday, I would think they would premier in the top 25 within at least the top 20.   Winning at IC and then Grinnell back to back will not be easy, especially if Chamberlin is back.   IC also seems improved.    Good luck Vikes.   Oshkosh is a very solid team, but less of a problem to match up with than last year's team.
