Scottie,

Perhaps they are waiting until after the game is played tonight  ;) :D

Viking....Scottie is right slow down....LU could go unbeaten the rest of the year and UWO could turn out to be a good team. Nothing lost yet except a game.

Yes, I realize that there's a long way to go in the season.  However, recent history suggests that LU is required to be undefeated in order to host NCAA tournament games.  As we saw last year, 22-2 (including one loss in double overtime) doesn't earn LU a home game.

And 2006 showed that being undefeated and at home won't necessarily do you any good! ;D

Sorry, couldn't resist. :-[

Although I wasn't here at the time, I'll take another season like 2006.  It would be exciting to have a national tournament home game, even if LU lost in the end.

Ladies and gentlemen, students and alumni, interested parties, and The Roop:

It is almost time for the 2008-09 MWC Pickem tournament to begin.  The first MWC conference games will be listed for picking one week from today.  Make sure you bring in all your friends, neighbors, cousins, dogs, cats, fish and birds to play, because we always want to make it bigger and better then past years.

So be ready, and be looking for the pickem thread to be reborn, one fast short week from today.....

According to the box score, Gillingham didnt play for IC last night, althought he remains listed on the roster.

I wonder if he is hurt...I will wait for a reply from an IC fan ::)

And, FINALLY, the annual mule-kickin is over.  Central Missouri 80, Monmouth 47.    Monmouth actually outscored the Mules by a point in the second half, if that means anything....

only in the old CBA...

The Roop

Perhaps, but the CBA basically rewarded teams for running up the score. In this case CMU gets a win and Monmouth gets a loss that doesn't count for anything.

Boy WIU must be really bad if they barely beat us. Even back when I was in school CMU kicked our butts though when we made the NCAA. Hope to make over for the Knox game this year. Some kids from my town play for the Siwash.

As much as I hate to talk about Monmouth ;D, CMU is actually a very good D2 program.  They are picked second in a tough conference.  The team picked first, Southwest Baptist, already defeated Utah this year.  Yeah, Western must really be awful, Eureka hung with them last night.  Ouch.  I wonder if they will win a regular season game this year?
