Grotberg and Long combined to score 25 more points than the entire Beloit Bucs team last night.  Hopefully, the bucs can put together a win in front of the home crowd.  On a good note,  it appears as though the Andy Horton show is back with 25 pts and his second double-double.

Grinnell scores 88 in the first half (a new school mark) as they cruise past Manhattan 138-101. It appears that the game plan is to get the ball in the hands of Grotberg and Long. Grotberg gets 43 and Long gets 35 today.

LU 80 Cornell 66. Not really that close as Cornell scavenged some late garbage points to make the score respectable. Up 2 at the half LU quickly opened a 20 point lead after the break. All the final score means is that LUs JV isn't quite as good as Cornells varsity.

OMG people. Please do some research before you go on the air. Upper Iowa (NCAA D2) is NOT in the IIAC as the Ripon broadcast crew proclaims.

Attention Lake Forest. Your center court camera is more than sufficient. Switching back and forth for multiple angles only ruins a webcast. If I wanted Kens Burns to do a game I would ask him...............

And it was as boring as the score sounds.

Wow, Roop, you're on a webcast roll!  I was worried I might be on video today so I took that extra 30 seconds to prepare my hat hair before I went to the game.

I actually thought Cornell was much better than Coe.  LU's shooters finally got it going today, especially Kroeger, and they were able to blow the game open midway through the second half.  I'm a bit worried about the Viking's depth, but I think some of the young guys will step up as they get more playing time.

IC is 3-0 right now? ??? Good for them, excellent start to the season. Playing well with Gillingham playing limited minutes. Looks like Jacob Tucker is stepping up so far as a Sophomore. Maybe the go to guy the team has been looking for.
Carroll getting their first win tonight. My computer wouldn't load the boxscore but so far pretty balanced scoring attack through three games with Ladwig, Hoch and Josh Gould...Looks like Gould is a senior who has played football as TE all four years and now is playing basketball for his senior season. Could he push them over the top in the MWC?
Just looking through the conference, there is a great erray of guards this year.
Do you we have any recaps on the Grinnell games besides the boxscores?

Recaps
Grinnell games

How's that for recaps ON Grinnell games ?? LMAO.

Cornell = average. Coe = not very good. I'm not scolding wc2viking but I believe I said all this before.  ;)

Too many webcasts is not a good thing, free or otherwise. I've decided that the rest of the MWC needs to follow Beloits example and offer a webcasting class as part of the curriculum. It's not by accident that Joe and Zach are the best around. Beloit teaches people how to do it, not merely grab somebody that isn't busy that day and put them behind the mic.

Here is some interim advice:

1. It's video so you don't have to describe everything.
2. See rule #1

Bucs were very balanced in the scoring column in their win over Martin Luther on Saturday but the defense still concerns me. Ripon easily beat a team that they should have easily beaten. Time will tell if their 5th place forecast is accurate, but for now, bring on the conference games......................

New ordinance here in New Roop City. Cats have to be licensed. Can't see myself doing that as mine never go outside and when they do I never let them drive. So they don't need a license.

Heh. Perhaps they should dub some old-timey music onto the LFC webcast rather than have a broadcaster call the game.

thoughts...

Monmouth over Case Western without Tanney -- intriguing
SNC losing to Loras --  hmm
IC -- is petefish back?
Grinnell -- were they trying something or do they lack scoring depth
Lawrence -- ho hum...
Ripon -- early or too late?

oh and MWC - 1 vs CCIW - 0

PC,

I believe Loras was a Sweet 16 or Elite 8 team a year ago...no shame in dropping a close one to them.

So which was worse?  The game or the camera.  Any insight on the game since you watched it and our newly dubbed "LFC" poster petemcb hasn't commented.  Any good or bad things, or just bad boring basketball with bad camera angles?
