The Roop

Grinnell used an 11-0 run in the first 1:28 of the second half to blow open what had been a 6 point game. Beloit has been very Jeckyl and Hyde regarding turnovers this year and last night they were definitely Hyde. Still, I don't know what you can do if somebody is going to hit 3s like Grinnell did in the second half.

Grinnell actually hit the 100 mark with about 10 minutes left then went 4 corner and dropped back in to a non pressing zone on defense for much of the rest of they way.  Beloit played well at times and the young kids show flashes of what the future could be like.

Watching the System at the Flood is always my favorite game of the year.

I loved playing against it but I hate watching it. I lose interest after about the first five minutes.

Getting the web feed for the Grinnell-Ripon game. The announcers are really good.

Grinnell up by 10, was up by 19. First half.

Hate to say it guys, but the LU announcers have been very good tonight...not sure if its the same group or not...maybe they took your advice.

Knox was leading most of second half...LU on run, up 6 with 7 to play

If I remember correctly our wrestler announcer friend said they wouldn't be doing it again until January, so they must have had a wrestling meet and brought in a new better crew for last night

Can't get the LU webcast to work for some reason this afternoon so watching the end of Carroll/ Lake Forest instead.. Carroll spanks LFC 84-60...

Beloit 83 Knox 68

Definitely Jeckyl tonight as the Bucs took care of the ball much better. Still room for improvement however as they got a little careless, at times, after they pulled away.

Didn't recognize any of the refs and that's usually a good thing as I only remember the bad ones. Couple iffy calls but none bad enough to comment on.

LU wins 84-64.  Lawrence must be having some kind of internet issues because webcasting didn't work and the school's website hasn't been updated since before Friday's game.  Looking at the box from the MWC site, Dekker looks like he is hitting his stride with 20 and additional19 from Kroeger.

Looks like most everyone's projected top 4 in the conference are already front running as LU, Grinnell, Carroll and SNC are all 2-0.

How many dunks, The Roop?

I don't remember any today but I think the interest is still there. More will come if they push the transition game and have the right players on the floor.

I will leave the Knox defender nameless in this case but M. Horton made a great ball fake, put the defender on the floor then promptly hit the 3. Something that you would see in an And1 Street Game. Nice to see a freshman do that.

System Error

I will leave the defender nameless in this case as well, but from watching the webcast of Beloits' game on Friday, I believe on two consecutive plays #32 was put on the floor and two 3's were promptly hit on him as he laid on the ground.  ;)

System Error

Looks like Old School and Hickory are starting off the Pick em' with perfect records....congrats
