Also Beloit could go 2-0 or 0-2 or somewhere in between.

BRILLIANT!

someone has finally noticed my genius...  (i wonder if i got karma too)

I'm going to be at Carroll tonight. Stop by and say hi if anyone wants to introduce themselves.

I know, it won't be much of a men's game, but geographically it was either that or Monmouth/Beloit since I want to be in Chicago on Saturday.

You could have made Grinnell@ Lawrence if you really wanted to. It's only another 1:45 from Carroll to Appleton... ;)

Pat, with all due respect....  How do you know what type of game it is going to be?  It might be a stinker, but it might also be the MWC game of the year.  We try to keep an open mind here in the MWC.   :D

Well believe it or not, this Football Dad is planning on attending a basketball game tomorrow!  :D

I will be traveling to De Pere and have talked a number of football parents into going to the SNC game tomorrow afternoon. There was even some talk about tailgating, but that idea was modified very quickly by the ladies to the hotel lobby after dinner.  ;D

Any one else out there going to be in De Pere? And no Roop, they still have your license plate number so you better not show.  :P

The Roop

Due to a fortunate  ;) personal circumstance. The Roop will be unable to attend the Grinnell @Lawrence game this evening. I will however make this up to my millions, and millions of fans by scheduling a vacation day so that I can attend the Beloit @Lawrence game in the near future.

The office of Prime Citizen in the NRO is still vacant but applicant screening begins tonight, you might say. This particular candidate is a bit more "morally casual" than I would prefer but I give everyone a fair chance.

Yesterday was yesterday, today is today; etc.

And another two hours tacked on tonight -- I'm going to Wheaton tomorrow.

Monmouth pounded Beloit 87-64 tonight. Not much basis for optimism on the Buc front this year.

Here's a hint. When I pick them to go 0-2 on a particular weekend. There's a pretty good chance that insider trading is involved. I've heard too many things from too many people and it suggests that while Beloit might put 5 on the floor at a time, they are not a team.

Knox will not complete a perfect season as they play Beloit once more.

Pickem hints. Beloit goes 3-20. Which means they won't win again.

Congratulations to Grinnell for their win @Lawrence tonight. I'll take partial credit for it as I've never seen them win there before but I couldn't make it and they won.

To the LU fans. I did watch/see the webcast and the last second foul was questionable. However, and I say this to everybody, how many free throws did you miss during the game ?? Make two more next time and you win.

Greek Tragedy

Wow, what the heck happened at the Alex?

Last year, LU seemed liked they played 4 corners for 40 minutes and won 79-55.

This year, Grinnell scores 101.  I looked at the stats and they hit twice as many shots (17/70 compared to 35/77) this year.  LUs FTs were comparable (27/43 last year, 26/41 this year).  Looks like Dekker could've sealed it but missed both FTs with about 18 seconds to go.  Incredible that Long went to the line 19 times.  Was he driving to the basket a lot or was LU fouling to prevent the 3?

The Roop

I don't think Dekker could have sealed it with that much time remaining, but he did miss both. Long apparently got his license and was driving a lot.

Make your free throws EVERYBODY.

Roop, I agree LU should have made their free throws.  :(

I agree Long was driving alot.  Also traveled alot but I digress.  ::)

If you call a technical on Drew Shaw, you call 2 or 3 on Little Davey.  >:(

The foul at the end was a phantom call.   :o

It shouldn't have come down to that ending, but this was the worst officiated game in my history of watching MWC games.    Those oafs should be put out to pasture.

The Roop

Don't worry T2K, I understand frustration with oaf-iciating. See my posts regarding last weeks Beloit @Lake Forest game. I'm told that the Senate will have a review of that game this week and Obama has an executive order in hand. But I still say "How many free throws did you miss ?? "

The game is in the books now. Should the refs have swallowed the whistle and let it go to O.T. ?? YES.
Unfortunate circumstances, for sure, but I don't think we need the Warren Commission on this one.

If it helps, I saw (on the webcast) a travel and a shot that had no chance of going in. It was a mystery foul but I did not see a grassy knoll in Alex at that time.

Sometimes the facts suck, but facts are always facts. My current theory is that Grinnell might be a little better than LU.
