RC 49 BC 28 at the half. Not sure why it took Beloit so long to switch to a zone, maybe they were running their get burned by give and go drills.................

Attn Ripon announcers. Read the program as it is, it's correct. Andy Horton is a senior, so you won't see three more years of him, and he did go to Parkview. Don't let the Janesville thing fool you and assume it's Parker.

I think Beloit might be working too hard on their balanced scoring.

That poll is a little vague, by "league" does that mean regular season or the tournament ?? I say no to regular season, yes to tournament.

I agree with Roop.  The Vikes really screwed the pooch with those losses at home to Ripon and Grinnell.

I thought it was the refs screwing the pooch...  at least from what i read here and i take this site as gospel.

I think the oafs played a huge role vs. Grinnell; the Ripon loss is on the Vikes.

If you watched the Vikes last night, you would wonder how they've lost at all.

I was there in person in Appleton for the Grinnell/Vikes game; the game was not decided by the refs. In fact, the foul count was heavily in the Vikes favor. Moreover, the Vikes just didn't make their free throws.

I agree they missed 14 FT that game.  That being said, the oaf T and foul calls in the last minute were highly suspect, especially the phantom foul against Kadison that put Little Arse on the line for the winning throw.  We won't get it back, its over, its unfortunate and even Coach Arse admitted after the game that they were very fortunate.  He told us, the LU fans, that much, after the game.   :'(

Man of all the times to be laid up with stomach flu and not be able to write about the lu/snc game.  The Vikings looked good, and it shold be an interesting ride down the stretch.  lets take a look shall we:

The top 4 teams and standings as of this morning:

SNC 10-1
CU 9-2
GC 8-3
LU 8-3

Their remaining schedules:
SNC: @MC, @LFC, @RC, @LU, CU
CU: @LFC, @MC, @ BC, RC, @SNC
GC: RC,BC, @KC, IC, @MC
LU: @IC, @KC , SNC,BC,@RC

In all honestly I think Grinnell might be in the drivers seat.  Looking at thier schedule there is no reason why they should not go 5-0.  3 home games against mid-level trams and the two of the three worst teams on the road.

LU will either go 4-1 or 5-0.  After the last 2 games, 5-0 isn't out of the picture, but they could sleip up at home against SNC or @ RC, but I really don't see the latter happening.
CU without Hoch might be in trouble.  I could see them dropping 2 of their last 4 road games.
SNC has the most interesting schedule left.  4 road games, including LU and RC and then Carroll at home.  SNC could go 5-0, but they could as easily go 2-3.  If I had to predict....here would be my final predictions.

SNC 14-2
GC 13-3
LU 13-3
CU 12-4

That would set up a good LU/GC matchup in the first semi-final up in DePere...could be interesting.  LU could easily drop to 12-4 too, which might get them back in the 4 slot dependsing on who the loss is to.  It looks like it should be an interesting last couple of weeks leading up to the tournament.

Your final standings are likely correct but I'm thinking you're a bit generous with the winning %'s. Ripon is surging, the law of averages says Beloit will knock somebody off and Knox is no longer a gimme. You have to play 5 on 8 when you go to Lake Forest and IC is always a long trip.

14-2, 13-3, 11-5, 11-5 may be the final records of the tournament teams.

It appears to me that LU has the easiest schedule remaining.  They are the only team that doesn't have to play Monmouth anymore, let along play AT the unfriendly confines of Glennie Gym.  Those fiesty Fighting Scots are gonna be one tough hurdle for the other three on the way to the championship.  And you can take that the bank!   ;D

Thankfully I'm not a player or I would have been intimidated by merely walking in to Glennie.

Roop:

If beating LU is a reason you say Ripon is "surging", I wanted you to know that LU players all wore new shoes at SNC because they couldn't wear the ones they puked on during the Ripon game.  ::)
