Your final standings are likely correct but I'm thinking you're a bit generous with the winning %'s. Ripon is surging, the law of averages says Beloit will knock somebody off and Knox is no longer a gimme. You have to play 5 on 8 when you go to Lake Forest and IC is always a long trip.

14-2, 13-3, 11-5, 11-5 may be the final records of the tournament teams.

Do you honestly see either Lawrence or Grinnell losing at Knox?  Do you honestly think Beloit will win@ Lawrence?

The ripon thing I could see...they can get hot and play with either LU CU or SNC, but I really don't see Knox or Beloit doing anything to change this race.

It appears to me that LU has the easiest schedule remaining.  They are the only team that doesn't have to play Monmouth anymore, let along play AT the unfriendly confines of Glennie Gym.  Those fiesty Fighting Scots are gonna be one tough hurdle for the other three on the way to the championship.  And you can take that the bank!   ;D

Something tells me Scottie allready forgot about this pasting earlier in the season...

System Error

Sitting here in my cubicle and decided to do some further research on the Grinnell remaining schedule. They play their last five games against the five bottom teams in the league thus far.
In four years their seniors record is:

Ripon           5-0
Beloit           4-1
Knox            6-1
Monmouth    7-0
Illinois Coll.   7-0
Combined:   29-2

I just decided to look at this because their seniors are their major contributors. Not too bad of a record.

While down for the count also missed these being released yesterday...thought apparently everyone else did too:

Midwest
1. Washington U. 17-1 16-1
2. Elmhurst 15-4 15-4
3. Wheaton (Ill.) 16-3 12-3
4. St. Norbert 16-1 15-1
5. Transylvania 14-4 11-2
6. Augustana 15-5 14-5
7. North Central (Ill.) 13-6 11-4
8. Carroll 13-5 13-5

That 16-1 record does not include the loss to LU, just the loss to Loras for SNC.  With 5 games to go, I think the MWC is going to be in a tough position to get 2 teams in unless SNC gets close to running the table the rest of the way and loses in the MWC tournament.  Carroll is on a downslide, and LU or Grinnell aren't ranked which isn't good for the MWC's chances.

Larry U, I was on YOUR side.  Do you steal candy from children, too?
HEY PAL, DON'T BLOCK THE SHOT!

The Roop

Transy won't make it unless they get a Pool A. What those Pioneers do won't effect the MWC getting two; if we can.

The only scenario where the MWC gets two teams in is if SNC finishes with four losses or fewer, including a loss in the MWC tourney.

The system lives on
because they foul so damn much
the game never ends

smack whistle, whack tweet
is the sound of the system

The refs can't call all
they do need to take a breath
