I don't get why LFC keeps passing up wide open layups just to kill time in a game they are losing?!?

Okay. so the system turns basketball upside down sometimes, but what in the world is LFC thinking?

Trying to keep us under 100.  Seriously when I was at GC from 00-04 LFC was the only team that consistently did that...

Can someone send a smoke signal to Roop to see if he has a Beloit score?

This has come up in the Ripon game. If a player is injured on defense is the game immeadiately stopped or does continue until the offense loses possession of the ball?

LFC used to be good though.... now they're just a bunch of kids that can't shoot.  Their 3 point % for the season as a team after tonight has to be under 25%

If Carroll could take care of the ball it would be over by now but after back to back threes Ripon is down 4 with about 40 seconds left.

Anybody out there that can report how soundly the Good Guys beat Knox?

GC wins a low-scoring affair 88-72, outscoring LFC 48-28 in the second half.  GC was led by Long with 23 and Arsenault with 20, Grotberg was off tonight, scoring only 10 points on 3-12 shooting...

Not sure in bball, but wouldn't be surprised if it was the same as soccer (another 'nonstop' sport).  Unless it appears to be a medical emergency or the downed player is in danger from a continuance (referees' discretion), play continues until a natural stoppage (or for bball, the injured players' teams' possession).  In soccer, a sportsmanlike team will deliberately kick it out of bounds if an opponent is down (and a sportsmanlike opponent will throw the inbounds back to them once the injured player has been attended to), but I am unaware of any similar norm in bball.

Other scores:

Lawrence stomps Beloit 79-41.

The rules state it is stopped at the end of the next possession so as not to disadvantage the offensive team.  So after the team on offense finishes its possession the officials should blow the whistle...

okay, that's what i thought. the ripon announcers didn't think so.
