Stopped in Waukesha last night on a whim expecting Carroll to win a close game and came away really impressed by St. Norbert and their defense. Word in the stands was that Katzfey has a hernia and is out for the year (they gave him a few minutes to close his career). It makes the double-digit win that much more impressive without their second leading scorer and leading rebounder, but I do expect his absence to lead to a few loses down the stretch.

SNC fans should be rooting for UW-Green Bay, as I would expect Grzesk to be the No. 1 candidate to replace Kowalczyk if and when his time comes.

Grinnell cannot beat Carroll this year, so GC needs their MWC tourney seed to lineup with SNC or LU and hope the other upsets Carroll if they have a chance at the NCAA Tournament.

I was extremely disappointed with this game.  I do not understand how Carroll could've beaten UW-Stevens Point.

They had one player show up last night and thats Hoch.  Ultra-quick, nice jump shot, did force a couple bad shots but overall very good until he got hurt.
The Zimmerman kid isn't bad but he needs to defend and rebound harder.

The Ladwig and Thompson kids were horrible.  And they don't know well enough to stop shooting.  Both have horrible looking jump shots and you'd think that both thought they should be playing in Madison to watch their demeanor.

Gould is the best, strike that, their only rebounder but is a liability offensively and defensively.

I'm guessing this isn't serious since it hasn't been mentioned yet??

He rolled his ankle ... left the game, got it taped and returned.  He was moving around fairly well afterwards ... I suspect with treatments during the week he'll be fine.

Nobody has a comment, not a word to say. RoopVegas set the over/under at 138 for the SNC @CU game.
Total score was 139. Wow, maybe I know what I'm talking about.

Could be a big loss for SNC, statistically he has pretty much carried them during the last 4 years.  They do have some other seniors that have been shouldering a lot this year, but this certainly would be a loss.

I'm not sure that Ripon sweeps them and Carroll has now been proven to be beatable. The St. Norbert games won't matter either way if they take care of business in the 3 games they should win. That gets them to 9 and that figures to be enough this year. Still, they do have quite a few road games and if they cough up a gimme it could get interesting.

Right, but Carroll already smoked LU in Appleton.  Maybe St. Norb's is just that much better than everyone else in the league.

True but...................... LU was on break and only had 2 practices in 16 days prior to that game. Now if Hoch is out for the season Carroll needs to replace that scoring.

SNC 42 BC 32 at the half.

SNC is hitting their 3s. Beloit is also shooting very well (60%) but their turnovers are averaging things out.

52-24 Lawrence over Carroll at the half. What happened to Hoch?

larry_u

I don't know if it was not having Hoch, or if Jo-Jo bitched these guys out after the Ripon game, but wow LU beats Carroll @ Carroll 94-67.

Something tells me that after getting destroyed at home by CU a few weeks ago, LU wanted to return the favor..and it looks like they did in a big way.

I think they will be fine after seeing what they did today.  I'm guessing LU will go 6-1 in those 7 games down the stretch with only a loss @ SNC.  I might be a homer, but after what they did today they will be ready for SNC, and they will be royally pissed going into that Ripon game....I have a feeling that one might look like today's Carroll game did....
