Lawrence University connections help prop up the WIAC again.  ::)

Congrats to the Kroeger family and the Shaw family for being such good people and helping DJ when he needed it.

I think the Oshkosh coach needs to take a remedial social science and public relations class.  Wow, what does the administration think of his comments?  :'(

Nice find, t2k.  Hopefully, the Oshkosh coach's comments were drastically taken out of context., but they seem bizarrely insensitive.

Too bad about those comments; "Dolt" is the word that comes to mind.  Cheers to Kroeger.

Since there wasn't a vulgarity used, it has to qualify as one of the nicest things he has ever said about a player.

I am going to call it out right now:  Grinnell wins out, SNC loses to LU and Ripon, and then beats Carroll in the last game of the season.  Taco John's anyone?

Greek Tragedy

According to MWC site, St. Norb's and GRINNELL have clinched tourney births.  LU and Carroll, with the same 10-3 record as Grinnell, have not.  Must a tie-breaker thing...of course, Grinnell beat Ripon, so that explains it.

Taco John's is not a bad spot.  The burrito supreme and the potato ole's are excellent.   The inability of the Grinnell Taco John's staff to count soft tacos is a deterrent.  :(

Reminds me of MWC oafs who can't see fouls all night and then somehow decide to call technicals and see phantom fouls when the GC coach's son falls down after missing a last second bunny.  If GC hosts the MWC tourney based solely on their victory at Alex, that would be an act of sodomy.  :o  Yes, I know LU missed 14 FTs. That doesn't count the 32 more we should have taken.

Little Arse shouldn't win the Bob Cousy, he should win an Oscar.  Big Arse can get one for best production.  ;)

I have been trying to reach Roop all day, but alas he is not available.  Then I saw this and it all makes sense.   Assuming he filed all his tax returns, I think there is a strong chance he may be "more involved" in Beloit hoops soon.  ;)

The Roop

No, it won't be me as College President is too high profile for my liking. However I have been recruiting a dark horse candidate the past few days and have encouraged him to throw his hat in the ring. I can't name names or he wouldn't be a dark horse anymore. For now all I will say is that he has strong Grinnell ties, it's not JeffP and Beloit will be running The System next year. He has served as Director of the NRO Covert Ops Division for several years now and has promised to look the other way after I set up the RoopVegas Sportsbook on Campus.

But to answer a previous question I have filed all my tax returns, state refund has been spent and federal hasn't arrived yet. Next question.............................

Is your housekeeper an illegal?  I.E. Is he or she from Iowa??  That may have major ramifications on the committee's decisions.

It is my understanding that employing graduates of the University of Iowa allows a special targeted jobs credit to the prospective employer.    While the Hawkeye grads are not illegals, they are viewed as requiring incremental training in 47 states and therefore this credit is meant to subsidize that training.

Grinnell  grads are a special exclusion as their standing is not in question and in fact, they are known in economic development circles to start businesses outside of Iowa to take advantage of said U of Iowa grads and the related credit.  ;)

Oafs at the Ripon/SNC game must have spent the afternoon at the Goose Blind.  Can't see the SNC travelling which is rampant.  Ripon isn't very good but they are sticking tough.

Who is doing play by play for Ripon? The voice sounds familiar but I can't put a name to it...

Carroll hits a buzzer- beater 3-pointer to send the game to overtime after Beloit had a chance to seal the game at the line.
