LU played a good game. Wash U was a good team and we played with them the whole night. Congrats to the LU seniors for such a good 4 year run.

Tough loss for Lawrence yesterday, but congrats on a nice run at the end of the season.  On a sad note, I know a lot of people weren't fans of former Knox coach Tim Heimann, but keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  He has been battling esophageal cancer for the past year and doctors thought he had it beat.  However, recently they discovered it had spread throughout his body, and there are no longer any treatment options.  They have given him weeks to live.  Don't know if this has been mentioned or not but thought I would let you guys know.

Does anybody know if they have any of the remaining tournament games on ESPN? Final four or Championship game?

Thanks for sharing.  That's terrible news.  I'll always remember that piercing whistle that he could do to get his players attention.  No matter how loud the Monmouth/Knox games got, you could always hear him whistle.

No.  No TV until the championship game and that is on CBS College sports.

Having not made it to the LU game, I was just wondering how open this lay-up was that Lee missed with four seconds left?

Driving straight at the basket, not from the side.   Not a gimme but I'd guess he'd make it more often than not.   Not worth dwelling on anymore.

Interesting article today in Galesburg's Register Mail.  Some history on our conference...specifically in regards to Beloit basketball in thier glory days...

"The main reason given was that Beloit's athletic policies were contrary to the spirit and principles of the conference".

So be it, they should resume those same policies. You pay more bills with 2000 in the house than you do with 600. Between 600 and 2000 are 1400 town people who really don't care about the akademik standerds there. Win for crying out loud, it's tradition no matter how it is accomplished.

Win if you can, lose if you must but always cheat.............. Jesse Ventura

It wasn't a "easy" layup. Rushing to the hoop from straight on with a defender riding his hip for most of the way. Probably felt rushed, and I think any one would if they had to be in that situation with only 9 seconds on the clock in that big of a game. It was the story of the night, missed layups are what really put LU away.
