Geesh...and I thought some of the whining by Grinnell Fans was bad when Grottberg didn't get POY.  The Wheaton fans whining about how Raymond got screwed over for Jimmy B of MIT on the CCIW board is insane. 

They've gone all Cypress Hill on us......

Also note that he conceded his point several days ago, while new people to the discussion have revived the topic since. 
And that he stands by his argument, but understands that between D3Hoops and the NABC vote, he would be in the minority if given the opportunity to vote.

In fairness to CCIWchamps, I didn't think he was whining either (and happen to agree with both his argument and conclusion), just continued a couple posts too long.  Now some of the 'new' voices after CCIWchamps quit - they are whining!

I was just watching the Final Four Festivities on ESPN and John Grotberg just shot a 17 in the 3 point contest.  I dont think that is going to get him to the next round, but not a bad showing for the only d3 contestant.

Update: Grotberg missed the semifinals by 2 points.  4th place had 19 points.

Why would they invite Grotberg?  Maybe they watch some Grinnell tape and saw him take 25 shots in 60 seconds and thought the format might fit his style.

Have any of the MWC teams picked up verbals from recruits for next year's frosh class? I'm hoping Beloit can land some decent talent to turn the program around, but I will not hold my breath given they have pretty much the MWC's version of the Pittsburgh Pirates, since Coach Knapton packed it in a couple of years before his retirement.
