Not sure how I missed that...brainfart or something!  Oh well!  Next year for me!
Don't get so down on yourself... the way the MWC looks this year you can still make a run at it even with an 0-10 start.  Get your picks in for Wednesday!

Ironically, this would be the wrong week for Grinnell to dump the System. The Pioneers play at Wheaton next Saturday night, and their best chance is to run Wheaton right out of the gym. The Wheaties have no bench.

It sounds like they might have enough bench to handle this year's Grinnell team from what I'm reading here.

Any posters making the trek to Lake Forest tonight?

I gave it some thought, but I'll probably stay home and follow that game and the Fontbonne @ Elmhurst game on Live Stats due to the weather.

Does the MWC only video broadcast conference games, or do they also do pre-conference games?

Just found the answer and noticed Illinois Wesleyan at Illinois College, also at 7:30.  That might be the most interesting game on the docket tonight!

That game's scheduled for a week from tonight, Pete.

The Roop

Once again the Lake Forest webcast features video by Ken Burns so I will try the IWU-IC game in a few minutes.

Like Sager said, the IWU/IC game is scheduled a week from today.  Penn Atlantic had it on their schedule for today (I was planning on watching it), but a few minutes ago I see that they switched it to the 15th (which was supposed to be the correct date all along).  Kind of ticked me off, but oh well.

The Roop

Looking out the window this morning I'd say there's a good chance that Beloit and St. Norbert play another day. The worst is over but it's still snowing in New Roop City and the weather goes from here straight to the Greem Bay area.

Game has officially been postponed.  No make up date has been announced.

AO

Can't say that I saw this win coming based upon my squad's previous 4 games (including a loss to another less highly thought of wisconsin school-Northland), but the talent is definitely there, and it sounds like they just played well down the stretch.  I'm curious what Norbert fans thought of the game?

You read it here first....

Big Dave is ready to trash the system!!!   :o

This team cannot execute it on either side with a lackluster defensive effort from the first years coupled with their " I'm gonna break all of Grotberg's records" attitude on offense. (yes, this was actually stated by at least one of the first years who has a relative sitting next to Little A on the bench!)

We'll find out this year if Coach A can actually coach. From what it appeared on the Penn Atl feed, he had absolutely no idea of what play to run at the end of the Beloit game and they ended up forcing up very contested three that did not draw iron.

At least the GC women's team is fun to watch...

One of the defenses of the System has generally been that the players enjoy playing it.

So do they still enjoy it despite the current results? I don't have the answer to that, but hopefully that is one of the first questions being asked, and one of the most important answers.

If the players are having fun, then hopefully they will stick through the rough time and improvement will appear in the future.

Just sayin'...
