System Error

No arguments that the team they played was underwhelming. Any time that commits 40 turnovers, can't be too successful. Yet, for a team who struggled immensely last year, it is a good start.

The Roop

1 down, 22 to go.

I just want a competitive race, like football was, so the MWC Rep is seasoned when it comes to playoff time.

Mr Roop:

Is that a racquetball court under your moniker?   ???

Flood Arena has been called many things, usually by me as I've never liked it, but racquetball court is a first. You get +K

It will be interesting to see if this freshman class can improve and get to the point where they become like the classes of 2005 (Evans, Falls, Olson, Hollinbeck) or 2006 (Braier, McGillis, Bradley,) and really have an impact on the MWC their junior and senior seasons.
In all fairness Bradley wasn't really part of that "class" with Braier and McGillis was he?  Didn't he transfer in after his sophomore season at Point?

True, but he was a major player those last two seasons he was at LU, and I think  he developed more for the Vikings then he did riding the bench for Point

Who's to say he wasn't as good while he was at Point, but was stuck behind some guards that were VERY good themselves?  Hard to argue playing the Guards that Jack did considering they went on to win a National Championship...

Beating a USCAA Team who's lone win came against a Community College is hardly worth bragging about. I like Grinnell myself but of the 23 regularly scheduled eggs, only one has hatched thus far and I think that was an extraembryonic-section.

I don't disagree with the comments that you have made above.  But, again, I believe that GC is heading back towards winning basketball again under Coach A.  Last season, the Pioneers were not a winning basketball team.  Yet, this season, I see them winning more games than they lose and challenging for the MWC tournament.  That is a reasonable and attainable goal for the team.  Agreed?

KB's 'good people'.  I think he showed the type of player he was when he got to Larry U.  And you're right Cubs.  When you have the depth of talent that we had, there are going to be guys who certainly could go to other teams and contribute and even shine.  There are only so many minutes to go around in a game and a season and Keven felt he wouldn't get the opportunities at Point, so he went elsewhere and did well.

OBC

It was herd to tell just how good Grinnell can be based on the Lindenwood game. But the Pioneers have to play Buena Vista, Wartburg, St. Norbert and Ripon in the next 3 weeks. We will know a LOT before Christmas break. There are some nice looking young players on this year's team. But GC may be a year away.

The Roop

My source tells me this years incoming class fits the "system" much better than last years did. So OBC may be correct about being only a year away.

Is Little A still hanging around at Grinnell, or has he sought a more normal place not littered with uber liberal politics and that plays real basketball?   ???

The Roop

As far as I know little A is still at Grinnell. Hard to approach center, or get right of it, with JeffP in town.
