System Error

Little A is still in Grinnell and he is the assistant coach for the team once again. Word on the street is correct that this freshman class is real good. The next three weeks will be important for their development as a team.

It appears the Olivet Nazarene women are employing a version of the System this season.  I recall the Muehlenberg women trying it a few years ago, but I'm not aware of any other college women's programs playing the system.

As far as I know little A is still at Grinnell. Hard to approach center, or get right of it, with JeffP in town.

I don't know Jeff P, but I surmise if he and Atilla the Hun were blended you'd have the middle covered?

Jeff was famous for his rants and being the #1 Grinnell fan. He's a friend but doesn't post anymore. I think he stressed himself out.

I used to be stressed out, then I switched to Sanka.  :)

A shorthanded Americas Team missed 18 last second tip ins and fell to Benedictine 70-69. Personally I think it was the refs fault. Home cooking' etc.

Never mention Sanka around Jeff. It isn't pretty.

For East Beasts benefit I should mention that Jeff P owns a coffee house. Home of the World Famous Roopaccino.

Although they failed to win the game,  (and "you play to win the game") pretty good showing overall for the Bucs. Towns seemed to be unstoppable in the game, so hopefully that will continue come conference play.

He also makes the best Hot Chocolate I have ever had.

Can't believe he hasn't posted since the LFC-GC semi final in 06-07.

Come back to the MWC Board Jeff P, its been long enough.

Sorry about the Sanka comment.....didn't know it would hit so close to home.   Actually don't drink that stuff, it could kill you.

I've only been to Grinnell once.....it was a safety school for me in the 1980's.

A tough road loss for the Bucs against a good Benedictine team, that gave highly regarded IWU all it could handle in their season opener and beat Cornell College on the road. The Bucs were down by 15 in the second half and had 3 shots in the final seconds for the win. Just wasn't meant to be, No doubt Bene and the Jets benefitted from having two games under their belts, while this was Beloit's season opener.

A pretty encouraging outlook for the Bucs compared to recent years.

Been out to Grinnel twice - both times when we played football at Seward, Nebraska in the 70's and the coaches thought it would be a good idea to break up the trip with a little football practice at the halfway point  - ta da! Hello Grinnell. And if I remember correctly we dressed in a quaint gym lockerroom where our starting QB left his shoulder pads.

I always thought JeffP went swimmin' with the fishes, if you know what I mean.   ;)

In fairness to IWU, the Titans did lead the final 15 minutes...and never by less than 7 in the final 10 or so...and won by 14.

Now Aurora...that was an "all it could handle" situation! :)
