Must be a slow news day.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has a feature front page story on a guy who commutes from Milwaukee to Chicago and writes HAIKUS.
A slow day and a killer commute.Last fallI heard about a guy who commutes to Iowa and back everyday from Chicago. From what he said, the job paid well and he enjoyed the drive(must be crazy!)LOL

Who's gonna host next weekend ?? I'm looking at Cabrini, Wooster (CCIW/NCAC Challenge), Whitewater and I'm not sure how mileage works out in the remaining sectional; so I'm going with MIT. Although Amherst probably gets it if mileage isn't a factor.

Amherst women are hosting, so they are going to Franklin & Marshall.  Middlebury and Wooster are hosting as well.

Wow. An era has ended at Ripon.

To stay 34 years at the same school, in this day and age, is amazing.

Two major sports, that is. I don't think it's at all unusual to still find D3 coaches working more than one sport, but in most cases one of the sports is a so-called minor sport that doesn't require (or receive) the sort of full-time attention from a coach that a major sport receives. For example, a football coach might also coach the men's golf team. Or, sometimes, coaches that have responsibilities for one sport will often double up in a sport with which it has some overlap. For instance, a cross-country coach might also coach the track team, or the indoor and outdoor track teams might be coached by the same person (in fact, I'm willing to be that that's usually the case with indoor and outdoor t&f), or a school might have both the men's tennis team and the women's tennis team coached by the same person.

Coaching the men's and women's teams in the same sport or cc/track is a little easier (I've done it before) than coaching two completely different sports. I doubt that you would have many coaches wanting to run two major programs anymore. Although you might find some who wouldn't mind running one program and assisting in another.

Maverick re: Foster...a few days late, but thought I'd let you know that Foster is no longer with the Scots.  I really don't know any details, but heard it started at the LF game...are there ANY LF posters out there who can lend a hand??
Is it just me, or are the words 'who can lend a hand' extraneous?

Are there ANY LF posters out there?!

I live really close to LFC and I've been in their gym before (though never for a Foresters game...).

Does that count?
I've been to LFC's gym for a LFC game! :D

Late to this party, but would have to agree with the sentiments expressed already.  34 years coaching two sports that overlap is amazing.  He was also the AD for a long time wasn't he?

How long did the guy at Monmouth do all 3?  Just remember his first name being Terry.
