Call me old-fashioned, but I guess the team that is 22-1 and ranked #5 is the best team to represent the MWC this year.  Congrats to the Green & Yellow Knights, and good luck the rest of the way!

And, as they say....the best thing about freshmen is that they become sophomores.  Watch out for the Soph/Junes next year.  The tournament may very well be held in the Maple City!  ;)

Monmouth College Football in 2014!
HEY PAL, DON'T BLOCK THE SHOT!

The Roop

Don't like the bracket. I hope the NCAA has to make 12 flights the next weekend.

I guess I can't complain about SNC's draw. No Point or Whitewater until the national semifinal (gotta dream big!) and nuetral court for round 1.

Furthermore. Tear the bracket in half. The left side is the National Championship. The Right side is the DIII N.I.T.

Strange... pretty sure Amherst is the defending national champions... and the right side has won its fair share of national titles against left side competition.

In more important news. Beloit Memorial knocked off evil Janesville Craig 71-62 to win their regional and will play in the WIAA Sectionals Thursday. Missed a couple coup de grace dunk chances to close it out but as long as Craig lost I'm happy.

And for the 3rd year in a row Mukwonago ends Americas "High School" Teams season. Hard to play 5 vs. 8.

I thought that Grinnell's Patrick Maher was a strong candidate for MWC Player of the Year. To see that the 4 TIME player of the week didn't even make the first team is a shock. I am beyond surprised. What's a guy gotta do?

I totally agree.  Maher is a great player and he would be an excellent player in any system.  Frankly, I think that he is Grinnell's best player.  Patrick will be missed more than anyone wants to admit next season.

Good luck finding a year when the coaches got it exactly right.  All I can do when I see the annual list is  ::)

The Roop: You are gently pushing the boundaries of "D3" on the board.  But, since you started it, my scottiesources tell me that the Good Boys won their regional, but failed to advance after that.  You and other Cheeseheads will be happy to know that they were beat by a team that's sending a big man to the Badgers.  Bo will have him All B1G by his senior year, like he does with all of those bean poles.
