Carroll and Ripon will play in the first semifinal at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 26 with the second semifinal featuring St. Norbert and Lake Forest at 6:00 p.m.

The winners will meet in the championship game at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27.

The times are so separated Friday because SNC is also hosting the women:

Grinnell vs. Cornell women at 330pm
SNC vs. LFC/Ripon at 8 p.m.

Wonder why they intersperse them?  Isn't this a disadvantage to the winner of the second game as the recovery time is reduced?   Impacts both genders.

A Rocks - maybe since SNC is hosting they wanted their teams playing back to back so as to potentially keep more fans in the building.  Plus they also wanted a start time of 6PM to allow more people to attend.

And totally agree on the disadvantage to the Game # 2 winner - good point.

havej is right. SNC has been fortunate to have this problem previously. It puts its games back to back at night for fan convenience. And, with no Grinnell men, as has been the case some times - that is one less such fatigue factor.

The way Alma hammered them on their own court, it might create some doubt for the committee. 

They are awful good but so are lots of WIAC and CCIW and MIAA teams and everyone can't get in.

Thoughts 

I would like to think SNC gets an at-large, but for the Midwest Conference there are no such guarantees. At least Alma is a quality loss.

However, one thing they likely do not have to worry about is competing with the WIAC for an at-large bid. Given the regional rankings, the WIAC tournament champion may be their only bid. Others more learned than I can speak to it better, but take a look at the rankings - and see how many WIAC schools you can find...

SNC missed a shot with just under a minute left. SNC got the rebound, however. But then Cornell didn;t challenge the ball. SNC held it for more than 20 seconds! Then, SNC got a 4-point play. That made it 72-62, which as the final score.

10-point score is deceiving.

BUT - That was the 62 consecutive conference win for SNC win. A new record a D3 member. And completes an undefeated season.
