I think the MWC coaches really blew the selections for all conference. Here are MY choices:
1st Team:
Braier
MacGillis
Bradley
Rosenblatt
Kroeger

2nd Team:
Megow
Hogen
Knox
Fogel
Hurley

Honorable Mention:
Page
Kadison
Lee
Klekamp
Apelgren
Dineen
Kroeger
Schmidt
Stewart
Osland
Grahovac
Wendel
Harry

Now that sounds fair! Just MY Opinion, though. ;D :D ;D

Are you really sure about Wendel and Harry?  I think their last few games were sub par.   :D

Carroll by 3 in OT.

This courtesy of Titan Q over on the "Carroll Conquers Illinois Wesleyan" board (that just came to me...).

Check out the DePauw halfcourt buzzer beater to get into the tournament.  Good stuff.

Jeff that was one of the best posts I've seen in a long time.

Although, I may have put Megow on the first team.

Scottie-

Austin Brown (the shooter of that great shot) was set to transfer to Grinnell this fall-had his car packed and ready to go-and changed his mind at the last second. Do you think he mighta fit in? ;D :D ;D

JeffP - Before assessing the degree to which a player fits in with a certain program/system/coach, I usually require a 45 minute consultation and a Wonderlic test.  But if I had to make a spontaneous evaluation, I'd say Yes.  At least, he has the range for Grinnell basketball.  ;D ;D ;D

Let's hope he can score better than a '6' if he's going to GC.

I think Carroll has a GREAT chance against the heathens from Illinois. I'm still not sure why they haven't dented YOUR teams record yet, but it looks like they may have another chance! ;D

If you really believe that they wipe the slate clean,i want what you are smoking.Cause its some good stuff.

Facts, please. If you're going to disagree with me, let's see some facts.

Read the 2006 D3 handbook and what it says about how teams are selected for the tournament. Then mosey on over to this site's tournament archives (you can reach it from the site's front page; click on "Playoffs"), and this is what you'll see with regard to the WIAC and CCIW and how many teams they've gotten into the tourney per year this decade:

CCIW:
2000 -- Carthage
2001 -- Elmhurst, Carthage (Elite Eight), Ill. Wesleyan (nat'l 3rd place)
2002 -- Carthage (nat'l 3rd place)
2003 -- Ill. Wesleyan
2004 -- Ill. Wesleyan
2005 -- Ill. Wesleyan

WIAC:
2000 -- UWEC (nat'l 2nd place), UWSP (Elite Eight)
2001 -- UWEC
2002 -- UWO
2003 -- UWO (Elite Eight), UWSP
2004 -- UWSP (nat'l champs)
2005 -- UWSP (nat'l champs)

Yes, they wipe the slate clean. And, yes, you don't know what you're talking about.

greg,

fyi, wheaton was also in the tourney in 05.  that makes 04 and 02, the only years when neither the CCIW or WIAC got multiple teams in.  So 72% of the time this decade one of these two conferences has had multiple teams in the tourney....

on the contrary this I believe is the third (maybe 4th) time this decade the MWC has gotten two teams in.  So i guess we aint doin that bad...
I could be wrong, but I doubt it....
