PS - Season ticket holders? At Lawrence? I know they've had a good run, but I'm not sure if LU is to the point of handing out Season Tickets

(Just some good natured ribbing, Justin - I hope you find one!! - Point Special is right, there will probably be some available after the Thursday game and maybe even at the door - those who bought a ticket and don't show up for the game)

Justin - On this board, a good sense of humor and some thick skin will take you far. Someday when you're a starter like me (ie. next week) you'll realize that.

By the way, do they have designated seating areas for wheelchairs? Maybe that's your answer right there.

I find it kind of ironic that just last week "justityem" made comments like these regarding the ticket process for the MWC Tournament:

IT HAPPENS,I WILL BE THERE INSIDE,I'LL SAY HI TO YOU WHILE YOU ARE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN.Take a day off work or something.

Maybe if you ask nicely i will buy two tickets and sell you one.At a increased price of course.I need to make something on the deal.If im going to leave early and drive 5 minutes to gt there.LARRY ALL THE WAY,SAY HEY LARRY GO ALL THE WAY!!!!!

I'm starting to believe in this whole "karma" thing. Looks like it turned around and "bit" him at least for the time being.

LOL,Mike Woods fomr the Post-Crescent just called me.About the whole ticket thing.I guess he is doing a story and fou out from someone at LU that i didnt get mine.I dont even need a seat.I have my seat on my wheelchair.I just need to get in!!!!!!1 No Offence taken 68 its all in good fun DAMNIT.GODDAMN****ING Bandwagon Jumpers.I ****ING HATE THEM.Letting ou my frustrations.Sorry guys Ill get over it after the games over or unless i find a ticket.I stayed up "ALL NIGHT" so i could make sure i was up to call in.And i still didnt get my ticket,thats what pisses me off.I could have had the wife put me to bed.But no I had to stay up to order my ticket that i never got.30 Hours straight i have been up now.So maybe that part of the reason im so Upset.Please bare with me while I ramble on and on and on.................Maybe ill just fall asleep at the computer.shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhWake up,Ah **** is still aint got a ticket.DAMN IT!!!! When I finally got through (no tickets of course

) I found out the same amazing news as Justin. The line outside the box office started at 10am...there were roughly 200-300 people in line when the doors opened, and only 250 tix were available to the general public. (350 to the visitors, 400 to LU students, not sure where the other 400 seats went...I'm betting to the same place as my Pick 'Em results from last year and the 14 blog posts I've made since early February). They only took like 6 phone calls and that was it. The VM box for the Box Office was full in TWO MINUTES. I was too shocked and elated about the support to be pissed that I don't have a seat.

As for bandwagon students and fans...who cares. Only LU students were allowed to get those 400 seats (and they couldn't access the general admin pool) and if Appleton townsfolk want to jump on the wagon, good for them! Its about time LU sports got more than a passing shrug from the townies!

Time to call out some favors...

JUSTINTYEM-I'm glad you got your ticket and I know exactly what the fair weather fans are like. I sat next to a few of them (professor types) when I was there for the Beloit game. First I had to explain where Beloit was and then why there were banners on the walls. Obviously these were for the other teams in the conference. They spent most of the first half debating whether to stay for the second half or go to dinner, they went to dinner and I didn't complain.

I got roped into some overtime so I can't go even if I could get a ticket. Enjoy the game.
