Or he could just use that two-year old picture of Braier that's on that apparently updated Lawrence website.  :'(

No I can't, remember? Too small. :)

Get over it.  If there was a picture of Braier, you'd complain it wasn't big enough.  Geez.

The Roop

The way it's going today I think somebody will eventually set a light to the graile shaped beacon, if it hasn't been done already.

I'm staying out of this one.

I have no doubts you won't have any problem getting rid of them.  There are Augie fans that would like to see the LU/IWU game, so you can pawn them off at the game.

Remaining tickets go on sale tomorrow at the box office and you could probably go there and get rid of them as well, since most of the locals will be hoping IWU returned some tickets, but only Augie/UPS tickets will probably be available.

Oh man, the guy was on the committee that gave your star player the most prestigious award in basketball and you are still taking pot shots at him?

Way to bite the hand that feeds you.  >:( :-\ ???

Sam, come back and control your people please.  :D

Yes madame President!   :D

Seriously though, does anyone REALLY think that Pat or anyone else tries to screw over the MWC? I'm not saying I wish there wasn't a pic of Braier, but Pat isn't omnipotent.  He does a nice job...think of it this way, he could update D3Hoops the way I've been updating my blog, which is to say terribly.  ;)

I think it comes down to a case of jealousy for all of us MWC fans...we're the MVC of D-III (both b/c we're that strong mid-major and the abbreviations are just too close to ignore).  I was jealous when IWU got the ESPN pub (why not good 'ol LU  :'() but I think Mike Woods of the Appleton Post Crescent said it well in an article today: But to draw a comparison to its more high-profile brethren, Lawrence was king of a conference whose overall talent would be equated to the Horizon League. Two of the teams coming to town this weekend, Augustana and Illinois Wesleyan, are from a league you would liken to the Big Ten.

LU/MWC fans...we'll get ours too.  As long as the MWC can continue to turn out high-caliber teams (rather than 1st round NCAA punching bags) we'll earn that respect we all so desperately crave.

Geez, what a bunch of whiners. I should tell Pat Cummings not to bother covering your sectional since you obviously think we're biased against you.

That would never happen.  The idea of covering an IWU (CCIW) victory over Lawrence is just too delicious for you....  IF Lawrence beats IWU, you would probably choose a picture of a consoled Titan rather than a victorious Viking.  Oh well, we've put up with it this long.  What's a few more games?

Hey...I don't care who wins this weekend...I just hope we get three good games in Appleton.

D3hoops.com is not a full-time job for anyone associated with this site. I am at my day job. The release came to me at 3:00 and I could only deal with the photos I had on hand at work.

You might all be surprised how many people come up to D3hoops.com/D3football.com "staffers" and assume this is our full time job, it's staggering.  I assure you that everyone else you see broadcasting or writing on this site spends the majority of their day earning a living doing something else...rather D3 of us, don't you think?

The Roop

I don't agree with the Horizon League comparison. Although it's hard to make a good comparison on a moments notice. D1 doesn't have to seed their tournament the same way D3 does. I tend to think of the MWC as the Pac-10 of D3, but only if the Pac-10, SEC and ACC were in the same or adjacent regions.

Sounds like somebody just bought a round at the Nickel on Saturday.

Well done Sam. ;)

This is when my lack of knowledge about DI comes in handy... uhm... the MWC sorta reminds me of this DIII conference called the MWC... have you guys heard of it? :D

Maverick

Well there's definitely been some interesting conversation going on here over the last day or so.  However, I think I prefer the post-season/playoff discussions from back in the football season with the St. John's guys on the MWC & MIAC boards.  Pat didn't have to bother wasting time talking to any of us and the worst jab from one poster to another was a Hamm's drinker dogging a Bud Light drinker! :D

Oh yeah, almost forgot...  Congrats to Braier on the award and good luck this weekend LU!
